This was great. I'm always interested in ready how people portray a more socially adept El. I like how you have her still a little tentative, but also embracing her new life. And Mike must really be clueless if El can pick up on the girl flirting with him and he's oblivious. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Another fantastic chapter! Loved this one! Enjoyed the way you showed their shared nervousness, as well as El's excitement. Loved that she started calling him Dad, and that they both said "I love you" to each other. Liked the way he described their family of broken people they'd built together. Glad El had a pretty good first day, despite the nervousness and slight panic. Glad she had her friends there with her, and that she started making some new friends as well.

Ok, whichever chapter I said was painful before, I take it back. This is clearly it. Eleven has so much trauma to process.

This is such a sad chapter. I think the show explores how Hopper’s controlling behavior inadvertently hurts Eleven, but not really his emotional unavailability. The fact that she picks up on that is just heartbreaking to think about.

OMG I LOVED this chapter so much! I hope this is what Season 3 will look like. It gave me all the feels. You are such a great writer, keep it up! 3

Sounds like the perfect summer. The type of summer I remember before kids got too absorbed with spending hours inside playing video games. El led a crappy life for so long. Summer with her friends sounds perfect

Another excellent chapter! Loved this one, especially since El for once managed to have an extended period of happiness. Loved that she's gradually getting more and more freedom. Glad she's having a very happy summer; going to the arcade with her friends (also glad she managed to ease her panic before it could get any worse), staying over at the Wheeler and Byers houses, going to places with the party, making friends with the Hawkins Police Department, camping with Hopper, etc. Liked the reference to the Starcourt Mall teaser. Hope El's happiness lasts a while longer.
