Can’t reply to the below review in a PM as you posted as a guest so I’ll post on here. The reason Harry didn’t die was due to Lily being ‘dead’ for a short time - her heart stopped. In canon, the reason why James’s death didn’t provide his family with protection was because he wasn’t given the chance to step aside like Lily was given. I know it’s a bit of a stretch, but c’mon, it’s fan fiction
