Aurora Nightstar chapter 11 . 11/9/2019
I just recently picked up the app for which allows reviewing the same chapter twice and this is one of those stories I have read multiple times and definitely noticed different things after multiple reads. So that is why I am reviewing this again.

Much of what I was going to say had already been said in recent reviews. I agree with almost everything said about Harry except I don't think Harry's nervous chuckle at Daphne's 'I want to kill you because you made me like this' comment was mocking or ridiculing her. It still definitely added to my disliking of Harry in general though.

Although I don't see Daphne as a saint, I am far more forgiving of what Daphne did wrong in this story than I am of Harry. I feel the ending to the first chapter was basically rape, even though Harry's part wasn't his fault. If I were Daphne, there is no way I would believe that he didn't do it on purpose. He was chasing her around trying to start up a conversation with her and she wasn't having it, then they did it because of the potion and afterwards, Harry ignores her as she leaves crying and he only cares about cleaning up the evidence. That was where I first started to despise Harry in this story. I don't know how Dumbledore could have watched that and it not even occur to him that it might have been a rape, but after Dumbledore covered for Harry when he committed mass murder, I figure he is just going to look the other way no matter what. It would almost serve Dumbledore right if Harry ended up doing the same thing at Hogwarts that he did at Azkaban, but for everyone else's sake, I hope that doesn't happen.

So of course, Daphne wasn't kind to his apology. What was Harry expecting her to say? "You ruined my life but since you apologize for it, that makes it ok!" Ah, hell no, it really doesn't. So, I really don't blame her for attacking him when he tried to apologize. We even know from Harry's inner thoughts that he knew she wouldn't like it, but he cared so little for her feelings that he did it anyway in as public and embarrassing a way as possible. I don't even believe Harry was truly sorry. He repeatably said he did nothing wrong.

Personally, I think Daphne should have gotten an abortion and sued Harry for rape. Because of Harry's utter callousness, I didn't really care that Daphne tried to use him in a false relationship. Story wise, going for a fake relationship was the better choice because it created lots of interesting drama.

In the relationship, Daphne didn't try to get Harry to do anything wrong or unethical, nor did she try to succor him into buying her stuff. All they did was talk and snog. True she and her friends made fun of him behind his back, but Harry never did anything I felt deserving of any level of loyalty from her, quite the opposite actually. For me, Harry teaching Daphne a spell to heal his own hand when he knew full well that was bad for her and the baby, was unforgivably selfish on his part. This was something I only noticed the second time I read the story. I think the first time I read this, I read them too far apart to realize the full implications of that. Yes, I agree Harry's true reason for not sharing the Patronus charm was very selfish, but forgivably so. He doesn't owe it to anyone to share that spell.

As for Daphne's future self, it remains to be seen how accurate that vision really was. We know from cannon that memories can be altered. We know from this story that is true that Daphne is just using Harry. I agree with the other reviews that basically said it seems unlikely that Daphne, who couldn't even talk Harry into teaching her the Patronus charm, would be able to talk Harry into committing murder unless murder meant nothing to him (already proven true) or the murders were really for his own gain, thus mirroring the utter selfishness Harry has exhibited so far when he taught her the spell to heal his own hand.

As for convincing everyone Blaise was the father of her child, yes, I think she shouldn't have lied about that. That was wrong on her part, but I can also understand why she did it. Harry was supposed to be locked up for life, so she didn't expect to see him again and I am pretty sure she didn't want to be a single mother and she also had the wellbeing of the kid to consider. It is better for the child to have two parents.

Now that Harry is back, Daphne should be very careful what she does. As others pointed out, murder doesn't mean a damn thing to Harry and as mad as he is, I wouldn't put it past him to kill Daphne right after the baby is born. I wouldn't be surprised if Harry solves the Blaise dilemma by killing him too. He has proven to have no conscience whatsoever. At first, I hoped for Harry's redemption in this story, but after he blew off mass murder like it was nothing, that is no longer possible.

I agree with all of those who said they would like to see a continuation on this story. Overall this is a very intriguing story that was left in a cliffhanger. It woul

Pick it up again you d***.
No seriously, I was really beginning to enjoy the story when you stopped it. Plus I really liked this obscurial twist and for you to discontinue is just disheartening because this story has great potential. I don't think I have read an obscurial Harry story before. It was a pleasant surprise.
Hope you continue it again.
Daenerys T. Potter chapter 11 . 10/16/2019
Supposedly, in the future, Daphne gets Harry so wrapped around her finger that he will commit murder for her. Future Harry made that sound like that was such a big deal for him, which clearly it wasn’t. Harry had no remorse for what he did at Azkaban, so obviously murder doesn’t even phase him in the slightest. Besides, ironically, Harry is the only one that ever did anything bad enough to Daphne for her to want him dead, and yet it is obvious she is falling for him, much as I don’t see why. In my opinion, Harry is far too selfish to make a good boyfriend, husband, friend or even human being. He even had the gall to laugh at her for the situation he put her in. Yeah, he meant that apology he gave her way back when, just as much as he meant the ‘sorry’ he gave the guard at Azkaban, which is not at all. I hope in the end, Daphne manages to ruin Harry’s life just as much as he ruined hers. I am pretty sure this request will fall on deaf ears, but please continue soon.

Daenerys, nah, I don't buy that. He has yet to do a single unselfish thing in the entire story. He may have talked sweetly to Daphne, once, but his words mean nothing. He doesn't keep his word, nor does he mean what he says anyway.

I think Daphne should have told her parents the whole truth. They couldn't really get mad at her for something that wasn't her fault. I suspect they would have been furious at the school and probably demand Professor Snape be fired for allowing that to happen in his classroom. I hope in the end, they find out who made that potion in the first place and that person gets severely punished as that potion has only one true purpose to commit rape.

guest reviewer, I see your point, but worst boyfriend ever might be a bit of an exaggeration, but not totally false. Who knows? It might have been just the opposite and he did lots of research during that two days that was skipped and only learned that about using magic being bad for her recently, but if that were true, I think there would have been some indication like an apology for teaching her the other spell, or at least the mention of his thought regretting that decision, but where there wasn’t, you are probably right.

Oh, and good chapter. Give them bad news on Christmas day. She sure knows how to ruin the holidays.

Daenerys - I already answered that in one of my previous reviews. To put it bluntly, if I were Daphne, I would not have said ‘are you always going to be this protective,’ except maybe in the most sarcastic way possible. ‘Are you always going to be such a bastard?’ would have been more appropriate. It was such a lie on Harry’s part to even pretend he cared about her with the it is too draining on you nonsense. He didn’t give a damn about that when he taught her the spell to heal his hand in the previous chapter. As far as not teaching her the Patronus charm, Harry’s only motive was the selfish and whiney ‘but I need a spell to myself.’ When it is in his favor, sure he will share, but otherwise, he doesn’t care. Worst boyfriend ever. I suspect those murders he spoke of that were supposedly done for her, will likewise be purely self-serving.
Daenerys T. Potter chapter 5 . 9/10/2019
at the previous guest reviewer, what are you talking about? How was that proven?
guest chapter 5 . 9/7/2019
I reread some of this story and something I overlooked before just jumped out at me. “After all the people I’ve killed for you.” On the surface, this would suggest that future Daphne talked Harry into committing murders for her. I don’t buy that as being true. Thus far, there has been nothing in Daphne’s personality to suggest she is a murderer at heart. All she wanted was to please her father after she already ‘failed’ him with the unwanted sexual encounter with Harry and to up the status of her best friend Tracey.

Harry has already proven he won’t do anything for Daphne unless it suits his own selfish purposes. I suspect these so-called murders done for her will prove to be a similar situation, IF there was any truth to that vision in the first place. Yes, I have read the entire story, thus far and Harry has also proven his word means nothing and committing murder likewise means nothing to him. I suspect if this story gets continued at all, which I doubt it will, Harry will just selfishly stay at Hogwarts putting everyone at risk of what happened at Azkaban happening again here.

I and many others would appreciate a continuation on this story.

guest chapter 12 . 8/3/2019
Read the whole thing. I hope it hasn’t been abandoned. It has been over a year and it is way past June. Me thinks Harry is a ticking timebomb, probably exactly what his future-self wanted – the destruction of Azkaban and Hogwarts. I guess we will never know.

soniasingh25150 - I wouldn’t call any story that is easily in the top 5 percent in favors, follows and reviews a ‘super flop.’ I also wouldn’t take that seriously from someone who has not a single story to his or her name.

Top 5 percent - reviews - 126, favorites -161, follows - 118
