I was honestly waiting for this chapter all day because for some reason I just knew it would come out today. I personally like the outcome you gave the characters, well...not exactly like because a lot of it is really tragic, but it makes sense to me and to the story. But I feel like there was a chance of AJ making it through all that, considering the alone ending and just about all the endings of season 2 where he ends up surviving. Especially since Rebecca was supposed to be alive. I feel like you could've gone down the route where Rebecca died during childbirth, since in this version of the story Kenny wouldn't have likely helped her much before and leading up to the birth because Clementine wasn't there to convince him.

I'm not sure if in this version Clementine cut off Sarita's arm or was involved in her death at all, but if so, Kenny must have felt so bad that his last interaction with her was him blaming her for Sarita's death.

Anyway, it was nice seeing Luke, Nick and Sarah interacting, it makes me so happy. I think it's funny how Luke and Nick are homies with everyone in the community lmao. I really can't wait until Clementine reunites with them like gosh. Can't wait for more updates. I really wanna learn more about the community and how it works and I feel like you're beginning to build up to that. Ain't gonna lie still really don't trust anyone in the community but Nick and Luke but I'm hoping for the best.

Yes! Luke! You write him so well, I'm jealous, I often feel like I screw up his dialogue but reading yours it feels so like him. Might need to take some notes. But it is SO good to see him, especially after Until Tomorrow ended. I missed seeing you write him. Also I don't know why but I just DON'T trust this Elizabeth girl, but that may be me just being nervous and paranoid cause I don't think I trusted the other people who had met Sarah in the slightest either. Anyway, can't wait to see this updated. CLEM NEEDS TO REUNITE WITH EVERYONE, HEAL CLEM GODAMMIT.

I suspect without Clem around the group fragmented and everyone went their separate ways. Hopefully in a less violent way then in cannon. But I hope Kenny stayed with Luke, Nick, and AJ. It would be ironic if if everyone's lives turned out better without Clem's influence.

Never mind Luke. We want to know if Kenny made it as well without Clem.

This is a Christmas miracle! Very good chapter, worried about what's going on with Clementine though. Also I can't believe that the person from the flashback a few chapters ago wasn't Luke! I was so deadset about it being Luke I literally refused to consider it being anyone else. But holy shit it's great to see Nick! I was a little shocked that Nick was the first person to come across them last chapter, I always imagined it being Luke since he had such a big role in the game, but thinking about it more, it makes more sense to me now. You were hard foreshadowing it. It's so good to see Nick though I could cry! Him comforting Sarah is the sweetest. I'm also gonna die when Luke comes around too. WHAT HAPPENED TO EVERYONE ELSE THOUGH? LIKE SHIT REBECCA MAN. AJ? Oh jeez. There's still a chance Kenny and Jane could be kicking around still cause they were never mentioned but. Oh I'm gonna cry for Rebecca I loved her. Can't wait for updates!

Only Nick would have an intro like that. "Three weeks"! I hope you are only referring to the time Clem and Sarah spent away from Howes and not how long it has been since Clem was injured. That would be a long time to be covered in blood and after 3 weeks that blood would have turned into Walker blood.

Obviously, it's cabin group, I think, I certainly hope it is. But to guess exactly which member it is, I'm feeling Nick right now. Anyway, jesus christ. I literally can't wait for an update. Anyway, onto other things, look at how much Sarah has matured like dang, it feels so natural though, nicely done. Also, I like the survival tactics you use for the characters, they feel very clever and realistic, don't know how you come up with such good ideas. YOU BETTER UPDATE SOON. Jk but I'm so hyped for the next chapter you have no idea.

aaaAAAAA this chapter really got me emotionally. Not that your chapters don't usually emotionally grab me, but I usually wait until I'm in a good reading mindset where I won't be distracted until I read it. But when I saw this updated I went to give the beginning a quick skim before leaving it for later and then seriously just COULDN'T stop reading until I got to the very last line. Literally I stopped all I was doing. You knowwww I love me some emotional arguing scenes, as stereotypical as they're known to be, I always felt like it was a better way for characters to convey their emotions genuinely to one another, and I think that definitely applies here!

Sarah and her self harm, I really like how you described her inner thoughts, it felt very raw and real. WHEN CLEMENTINE THREW THE GUN I was having some beer bottle flashbacks, not only do I love emotional arguing scenes, but scenes like that with people throwing shit? idk man, I don't know why it gets me so good but when Clementine threw the gun and things went silent I wanted to scream. I really empathized with Clementine in this.

ALSO quick comment on what you said about the group. how they're never coming back. It...worries ME. I know that certainly isn't definitive proof, and I still am about 70% sure they're gonna show up in this at some point, but a little part of me feels like you're gonna go the bittersweet, realistic route with this. With Clementine and Sarah coming to terms with the fact they won't see the group again and learning to believe in just one another and not depending on the idea of them coming back. If that is what you're planning, I wouldn't be that against it in a literary sense but my heart would just be like "nooooooooooooooooo! I NEED MY CABIN GROUP." Either way, I'm excited to see where you go with the group and the ending of this story. Congrats on such quick updates! I've been really enjoying them! Happy Holidays!

Oh! My! I love this chapter. There's a lot of subtle stuff going on that I noticed and just. Jeez. I actually read this like, an hour after you published it because I happened to be checking my email. But I need time to sleep on it to figure out my thoughts so here I am.

First of all, Clementine's leg GOSH. I wasn't as worried about the cliffhanger you left before because I was like "she can't kill Clem she's the main," but the way you first started writing Sarah's reaction and the slow build up almost gave me a heart attack because for a second there I thought you ACTUALLY killed Clementine. But even so, her leg injury and the way you described it gave me a chill, it made Sarah's reaction very believe and easy to empathize with cause I WAS FREAKING OUT TOO. So I'm hoping you don't kill off Clementine, but I'm not gonna write off the idea in case I jinx it.

Now moving on to my favourite part of this chapter, SARAH. I was rooting for her so hard in this chapter, I liked how you decided to put her in a high stakes situation where she didn't have Clementine to depend on. It showed a huge growth in her character when she started shooting at the walkers and carrying Clementine out to safety, but she also very believably struggled with it and just wejaebfrb I loved that. It was very nice and Sarah's growth throughout this entire fanfiction has been so realistic and carefully done. Also seeing her thoughts towards Clementine, the angsty stuff and the romantic stuff was all way too sweet and sad. I can't wait for the next update!

Even though not much storywise is happening in this chapter, I like this chapter. it feels like a necessary part of the story and I think since there wasn't much to distract me from the other aspects of your writing, it made me appreciate it all the more. You really know how to write Clementine and Sarah, they have very distinct personalities that I can see from their thoughts and dialogue. Also, a lot of what you write, especially in this chapter, feels like something I could perfectly imagine in the game, I might of mentioned this before, but I was really feeling it in this chapter.

I like the buildup that's going on here but I'll be honest it's scaring meeee. I don't think you'd be afraid to kill your characters and that SCARES ME. So I'm crossing my fingers right now. Can't wait for your next update!
