Since you have still been posting Psyhconauts fanfics but have not updated this in a while, it seems that you like OneShots. But it would be great if you updated it. I loved this! It was very interesting to see sasha and Truman interact and go on a mission together. You wrote it wonderfully! Aside from a few spelling errors it was all great! Keep up the good work!

LOVE this fic- the characterization for a younger Truman and Sasha is incredible. I absolutely love the fact that, compared to Truman, Sasha's actually more of the wildcard of the duo. Truman's characterization is also super good, the part where he appreciates Sasha seeing his herbaphony as a useful power is especially great- he shares Lili's thought that people just want to get to know his father, and seems surprised that Sasha actually takes an interest in his power.

I could ramble on about this fic for hours, hope to see more it in the future!

Hey I found this via a tumblr post promoting your work and I completely love it, and I straight-up haven't read much fanfiction in ages but I am loving ever second of this (especially Sasha being kind of a smartass since I've had suspicions he was probably a major troublemaker when he was younger). Please keep at it I am super excited to see how this ends.

I keep my fingers crossed since it smees like a beginning of a really interesting and promising mistery.

A thoroughly enjoyable read. I tend to dislike short, plot-oriented stories but this first chapter has me sold. Writing through the perspective of a young Truman Zanotto makes this interesting, especially after Rhombus of Ruin.

Truman's introduction was equal parts amusing, uncertain and pathetic, just like the character himself. I could envision the dismal environment in that terrible Buick.

Sasha's introduction and whole character in this chapter was hilarious, I adored it. I loved how you utilised his telepathy and canon backstory into his character, justifying his curiosity concerning psychics and other people, with a great, grey/black moral ground, just like his character in the games. Not only that but putting a humorous, late teens spin on it.

Truman's awkwardness is very enjoyable, how it plays off of Sasha's odd, blunt and curious attitude is thoroughly amusing. There's so much fun chemistry here between them, every interaction is a great read.

The characters that have been introduced fill out the story nicely and give the reader a lovely world around the canon characters. Again, I tend to dislike such things, but you've implemented them in a way where it's Truman and Sasha that are playing off of them and not the other way around.

I'm interested to read as to how these two young agents will bungle this up! I'm excited to know if Truman can really be embarrassed to death indirectly by Sasha or his own anxiety.

Favourite moments include: Having stopped at a Burger King, the broken window letting the rain into the car and onto Truman, mentions of Otto Mentalis losing it if a non-Psychonaut affiliated individual were to touch the Buick, Ford returning with Sasha, Sasha's name suspected to be fake, Sasha contributing to the rumours surrounding his arrival, mentioning aliens, the instructor unable to take Sasha's behaviour. Truman realising it would be the start of a long and odd friendship. Broken car window fixed with tape ('brilliant' indeed, I laughed). Truman reaching for the wrong pocket, the long, awkward silence with Truman not knowing when to introduce Sasha. When Sasha laughs at the deputy leaning against the doorway (what a child, I love it!). Sasha saving Truman's skin with the greatest lie conjured by man.

I love this! Truman is written wonderfully, and I love the take on teen Sasha as a nosy, clever brat. The mystery setup is intriguing, and the world building so far is effective, too. I'm really hoping to see more of this story!
