no but really! this is very sweet and unconventional and funny and cute and ugh. i love them. thank you for writing! this definitely made my pre-travel jitters easier to handle.

I awoke at 7 a.m. this morning, which I never do. Something in the air felt different and new, I guess. Like something was calling to me. I rolled over to check my phone. Oh! randomcat wrote something!, I remarked, very half-awakedly, as I checked my email. That's coo-IT'S. A. SOUL EATER. FIC.

I bolt out of bed and put on the coffee, because I will not read this thing until I am properly caffeinated. I wait, but I do not wait patiently. The coffee is making its babbling brook sounds and I am wishing to be carried away with it, into the lovely ocean of randomcat's words. (This is zero percent exaggerated, by the way ;D)

And then I stumble upon this?! Mine eyes do not deserve to look upon this beauty at 7:45 in the morning!

But seriously. They are so WONDERFULLY in character, Maka insisting to do it her way, and Soul sneaking his way in at the end in that perfectly compatible slightly irritating way. I love that he nearly throws them off the bike, because of course he would, and my heart started melting at "scuffed, dirty and bickering," because YES!, that is so them, so perfectly everything that they are, and in my brain this is the exact way that this whole thing would go down. Of course he already had a ring. Of course. I also love the details of Spirit & Mama at the beginning as well, that also felt so true and right.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this hulking review. :P This story is wonderful, your writing is as beautiful and flowy and great as ever, and it doesn't feel like you've been gone at all. Thank you for writing this. I have missed you. :D
