Reviews for A Better Conquest
Guest chapter 1 . 7/16
I'm surprised you call this "A better conquest". Any normal man in that situation would have immediately boned Rhaenys and Visenya. Letting them marry outwards is completely illogical and stupid. Any normal man wouldn't have even bothered with a conquest and probably just had constant threesomes with his sister-wives.
Guest chapter 1 . 3/27
That was weird. I am glad you stopped, I was losing brain cells just by looking at it

PrinceTanix chapter 1 . 9/4/2019
personally I believe marrying his sister's off to anyone other than himself was not needed since they had dragons and kingdoms swore fealty to them
Little Liar chapter 3 . 3/21/2018
It could be better.
Dark sword of vengance chapter 1 . 10/26/2017
While I do not support incest if there is one thing I can give to aegon was marrying his sisters, if for just the fact of keeping the weapon of mass destruction in the house targaryen. I can just imagine what would happen after aegon's death. You think the dance of dragons was bad enough just imagine what would happen if you multiply that. if this had been after the dance then yes I would have agreed to marrying into other houses. do not try to make the world of ice and fire into our world. I agree its quite similar but when you add dragons and credible magic then you will see it is hugely different. also in our world you will see earlier dynasties marrying amongst themselves.
sorry if I seem harsh but this is what I believe and I believe this is why martin wrote asoiaf like that. anyway after reading cardboard rhaenys response and incredibly acting not-aegon I just had to write this off my chest

oh good choice, a stark one of the oldest bloodlines and first man as well, not a fan of the andal culture, lets see what the faith thinks of this

Guest chapter 2 . 8/1/2017
Yea for tech rises you just facilitate infrastructure, agriculture, and trade and from there you just keep improving those aspects and as they grow you'll get enough of a structure to support more and more industry and the resources for new tech like plumbing, seed drills, lumber mills, foundries, arsenals, textile factories, factories of all sorts for metal cookware and utensils and buttons needles nails and all the random things life needs.
Player42 chapter 2 . 8/1/2017
westerosi republic, andal kingdoms (without north), republic of westeros etc..
selenepotter chapter 2 . 8/1/2017
I love this story!

Usually people in these types of stories do the same types of tech uplifts (gunpowder, printing, antisepsis)
Might i Suggest instead, that Aegon give them Calculus, Newtonian Physics, Kepler orbits and atomic theory? These would allow calculation of when the Winters happen and how long they will be, including, when the second Long Night would be.

Also someone who builds their power base on Dragons might not want to give his subjects guns or rockets. Instead, he should encourage Hydrogen filled Zeppelins.
francisvirus chapter 2 . 7/31/2017
good, seven kingddoms suck, makes letting go of the past impossible, did u add stuff to the first chapter? or was i just really tired when i read it?
Machoking chapter 2 . 7/31/2017
Roads, perhaps Macadam type roads, a single code of laws for everyone, single system of money, farming improvements (moldboard plow, four field crop rotation, seed drill) increased wool production for export to free cities, some kind of system where maesters are sent out to the villagers and educate some of the peasants (maybe just the smartest ones) and using your new educated workforce to improve royal administration of laws and tax collecting so it isn't just up to local lords.
