I'd like to say this doesn't belong in the hurt/comfort because there was no comfort for poor Megumi. Also, there was no friendship, either. I'm trying to type through tears, this was absolutely heartbreaking! It was wonderfully written but my heart is seriously aching. Stupid Soma! I'm just gonna go cry in my corner, now.
