I wish this had been canon. I can't imagine treating my nephew the way Petunia had allowed in the series, no matter how much I had detested my sibling. A child is innocent. With your Petunia, she felt much more realistic and how I would think she'd of behaved with what had happened. Good job!

A beautiful and touching story. I like that Vernon doesn't actually abuse his wife, Dudley or Harry (we see far too much of that in other stories). He just doesn't understand, and will never feel love for the children as Petunia does. She did the right thing here.

But, shit. I'm running out of words to describe things. Remember we talked about how you liked loops and bringing a story full circle? You did that perfectly here. WHich, if you actually think about it, is sort of JKR because she did the thing as welll, with the war orphans and stuff xD

I loved how you put in moments of silent or subtle rebellion, instead of outright doing something. It's more efficient and more believable. Also someone in a marriage such as Petunia was in, I'm not she could've completely changed her attitude and done what she did in a short span of time. So you got that down perfectly.

Also, Harry and Dudley bonding as toddlers and wearing each others shoes and chasing each other and eating ice cream not properly but happily is something I didn't realize I needed in my life until I read this. Now, I'm counting on you to provide me with more toddler bonding moments. 'Tis an order, Anna xD
