Hmm, cheesy isn't the word I'd use. Rather, it's a classic, momentous event, made even more so by Jane's past. I like that she finally accepted the need for help with some grace. It's okay for Jane and Lisbon to experience and enjoy the normal reactions to their new family members. And, it's good the drama with her brothers was resolved before she gave birth. Nice.

P.S., The names are fine. (Glad Lisbon nixed "Sherlock.")

Yep, you were right. It was very, very cheesy. And that's ok, I guess, but I was immediately put off reading by that first section. I get so frustrated by the portrayal of pregnancy as an illness. Most women can work and function perfectly well right up until the birth. It is not a disability. It is possible to get off the sofa unaided. I know. I've been there.
Having said all that, there were some sweet passages and I look forward to your next story.

I liked this chapter a lot. I love seeing them moving on together - moving to a new house is a big step for them! I love Lisbon inhaling and letting life happen!

I love the thought of Jane keeping that shirt as a momento! Love that he wants to help Lisbon unpack! (I have a lot of unpacked boxes, perhaps he could come to MY house when he finished at Lisbon's! LOL!)

I love this chapter - Jane being Jane and saving Lisbon’s family while being a good man to Lisbon. As for baby names I’ve got an 18 month old great granddaughter named Devyn (because her mom liked it) and now she has a month old brother named Dallas (because it’s his dad’s favorite football team and it was his turn to name the baby)! Their grandpa has already nicknamed them Devilina and Demon Dallas. That is how serious our family takes names! And I know it doesn’t matter because when they are young teens they will decide what THEY want to be called anyway. Good luck with two names everyone likes. LOL
