Anna might think that she's worn the same dress a hundred times, but that will never stop John from thinking that she looks beautiful! And bless him, feeling a little deflated at how quickly Jack was out of there when he got to his sleepover. Bless him. It wouldn't be easy for any parent. But, yes, at least his daughter still worships the ground he walks on (which Jack will too, but you know!)! (And as an aside: whoo! Go Northampton! ;D)

Aww, Emma is the cutest! I loved how she was questioning John about what a Valentine was and how she wanted one for herself. I adored the whole "February/October" thing and how she questioned if you could only love someone in October. This whole thing is too lovely. And her painting his nails! LOL! The things he'll do for his daughter, bless him. The movie scene was just too cute. The whole sense of sheer familial domesticity got me right in the heart with its innocence and sweetness. What isn't there to love about it?

I loved the scene where Anna came home and found them like that together, and especially the sentiment that the picture would be a reminder for John in the future that Emma loved him on her bad teenager days. And Anna and John write saucy poetry to one another? Um, yes, please! But yes, that would be a disaster for Emma to read. I loved the teasing about "smut" versus "heartfelt poetry" and the things that John had written, LOL! And it sounds as if Anna and John are going to have a very good Valentine's Day for themselves! ;)

I definitely enjoyed the corny, fluffiness of this, as I have enjoyed everything you've written. I'm looking forward to your next fic now that I've devoured everything you've written! :D I hope to see more soon!

So much fluuuuuuff! There can never be enough. I love the idea of John watching Anna as she is getting ready for her girls' night, still so smitten (and pulling out the smooth lines about how good she looks). Both Anna and Jack getting to go out and have fun, but John and Emma have the best idea, I think :) Emma is just the cutest little daddy's girl (and her room sounds amazing!). Who needs to have Valentine's in February? That's too conventional. I think John does like having his nails painted, anything for his daughter. And when Anna walked in, it was priceless.
