Can I just say how much I love how well these three pieces tie together? "Popcorn" presents the idea of their relationship with Sakura's revelation of her fear of horror movies, but as we move into "Claustrophobia" and "Promise," we see this idea of fear and horror shift from Sakura's fear of fictional movie horror to Itachi's revelation of the ninja life as a horror movie, reality-as-horror that doesn't frighten Sakura but has unsettled Itachi due to personal life demands. Then their relationship grows a little by their spar in the dark (the horror during the movie horror setting that Sakura doesn't fear), and Itachi shares his claustrophobic fear (tying into his feeling unsettled by being "tied down" by his upcoming clan responsibilities). Then this theme of horror and fear shifts into what frightens Sakura most in the end, when Itachi almost dies after the "ninja life reality" horror. But they both make it out of the basement together and find each other, Sakura no longer scared of Itachi dying and Itachi a little less frightened of his clan responsibilities if Sakura will be with him.

That was kinda convoluted, but I just wanted to say how much I loved how well these three worked together on multiple binding levels to form the series.
