yeah. I wanted to give them some way to communicate so I thought phones would work. I know that you can't text outside of earth, that's why Greg kept saying it was weird that they could call each other. It was supposedly a thing that being in homeworld does. You can somehow have phone connections. I'm not sure. thanks for saying something though.

Aaaaand you slipped bad here. You aren't supposed to be able to send text messages outside your provider's reach, much less outside Earth. There might be alternatives, of course, but even those couldn't be guaranteed to work.
