| Guest chapter 43 . 8/18/2017 You deserve a medal! This story is constructed beautifully. The plot isn't forced, the characters are well developed and the detail is exquisite. I especially loved the ending. Yuuri coming back to life would have been so cliche and would have killed it. I loved the plot twists and all the relationships felt real. I admire writers who prefer to dish out harsh reality instead of fairytale endings. Loads of Soulmate AUs like to stick to pure fluff and romance but you explored the darker sides and based your story around the fact that darker sides do exist and shouldn't be ignored. I do have a few criticisms through. Not going to lie, in some places, grammar and punctuation was terrible. All the mistakes can be easily resolved so I can forgive them. Some sentences were also constructed clumsily and the repetition in some places just ruined it. Also, when Yuuri was dying, too many flashbacks were used. I understand what kind of effect you were trying to achieve but successive flashbacks only work for animations. If you had single sentences instead of entire scenes to some up what you were trying to portray, it might be a little less jarring. |
