I also love the details about Hawaii, and the fact that you included Shran and his and Jhamel are a wonderful couple, I wish there were more stories about them.

A very enjoyable story, though I was worried about Shran and his family for a while - Andorians hiking in a tropical climate seemed risky, but I forgot how sturdy those folks are!
