This was an interesting read. The law while flawed made sense in the context it was born in but I'm glad they saw reason and I am a fan of any cissy/harry and h/hr fics so this wins the last girl was an interesting choice but meh I also appreciated the pansy/millie/ron pairing I would actually like to see more of that

Actually, I don't find this variation on the Marriage Law unrealistic at all, for the simple reason that Shack is not Fudge - or Scrimgeour. (I seriously doubt he's a pureblood, for that matter; if anything, he's a male version of Amelia Bones, who was his boss for most of his career - and she wasn't - for the most part - stupid, either.) Other than his niece - of which we know nit - there's Narcissa. Surprisngly, her reasoning holds up; she wants to stick it to her ex - AND her son (who is mostly just like him) - and what BETTER way to do so than to marry The Man Who Put Riddle In The Ground? (Rebel WITH a Cause, basically.) Hermione is easier to explain; with Ron out of the running, who's left - law or no law? Unless Hermione was seeking for the other side, the only option is Harry. (She doesn't know Nevile well enough.)

Think any objection would be 14. Medieval society so I will express gratitude for it not being 12.

It sounds like the sexist clap track the Ministry would produce. They would be better off with artificial insemination, especially with the idiocy allowing sperm donors to have nothing to do with child. This means the mothers will have to raise 3 children on their own (even if Ministry gives them money, it’s still hard)

After just coming out of a war that was made possible by a corrupt minstry that lead to a tyrant taking over, i just can't see the witches of a nation who just help fight for freedom to accept this law forcing them to either get pregnant or go to jail.

I have yet to see a marriage law fic where instead of going along with it the country or witches/wizards band together and go militia or rebellion and loudly say in the Prophet the Wizemengot has till the end of today to repeal this law or 5-10 members of the Wizemengot will be killed each day till it is, they of course don't listen and 5-10 are killed and the next day they Wizemengot spends their time bitching about it, another 5-10 are killed then its repealed or more can die. There is a real lack of open rebellion fics, hell 5th year with Umbridge would of made for a great one when she gets killed in a mob riot in the great hall after the students realise no one in the castle will protect them from her detentions, hell the Inquisitoral squad as well should be killed as well especially Malfoy.

For those of you wondering if there is a fanfiction with a more civil!Draco, there is - it even is Harry/Hermione/Narcissa; do a Google search for "With a Little Help From My Friends" (No; Draco does NOT start off civil at all; but after some pounding - first by Hermione of all people, then some whackage by Narcissa with the clue-by-four - Draco gets his head on straight.) Be warned: it also has one of THE messiest Riddle death scenes of any fanfic; he literally gets beaten to death. (And as to why it can't be covered up, it happened IN the Wizengamot Chamber itself. WHILE it was in session.)
