How did I miss this when you first posted it, it is a great story. I always liked Towers and the fact that he knew Harry to be the good man his was and realised how important both he and Ruth were to each other. A lovely happy ending.

This was a top bit if writing and a much better ending than the original Spooks.

I adore all your multi-chapter fics (in case you didn't know!), but this one shot was fantastic (although you're stretching "this little fic" at 8000 words lol!).
I could pick out so many moments in this that I love but I don't know where to start. I've been trying to write a review since 5 o'clock yesterday morning!
Suffice to say, that I love this fic, an excellent balance between plot and smut, definitely a wonderful birthday present for Harry and for us too.

I don't know how I missed this one. Lucky I saw your a/n on a Will and a Way. This was absolutely beautiful. I had tears in my eyes reading this - tears of sorrow in the beginning and tears of joy at the end. Oh, if only the show finished like this. Everything about this was just gorgeous and I loved Towers so much - 'good girl' indeed. Will be reading this one over and over. Now that's a birthday present Harry won't ever forget, nor will Ruth, for that matter. Thank you!

What a wonderful and fulfilling story. This would have worked so very well in canon, although it would leave us all with nothing to write about in Spooks fanfic!
I loved simply everything about this - from the alternating of POV, to the withholding of Harry's gift until after they'd had their fun, and to Towers' positive reaction to their flight. This is the perfect Harry's Birthday fic.

And there are just so many excellent lines and descriptions in this, but I had to isolate this one, as it's true, and ever-so-simple:
"Just another link in the chain that bound her to him."

This soooooo much better than the televised end of series 10 with them both finally able to give voice to their love for one another. You've captured both of them so well and I loved Ruth cursing him out for not giving her the chance to say "I love you" first. Priceless.
