Reviews for Out of the Wet
LadyOfAnfalas chapter 1 . 2/24/2019
I've read this story at least five times, but somehow never reviewed it. I'm always a sucker for some long, quality hurt/comfort, and I love everything about this fic: the vivid descriptions of the rain, cold, and marshes, the sense of urgency, Aragorn and Halbarad's strength and fortitude, the spirited hobbit woman.
Ammodytus chapter 1 . 9/13/2018
Poor Halbarad. Poor Aragorn. Nice Hobbits. I’m glad the rangers found them.
Kelana-ti chapter 1 . 8/27/2018
Aww! Trust a Hobbit to be a gracious host to unexpected strangers. :)
Nati chapter 1 . 12/20/2017
This was a very enjoyable story to read as I wait for new characters on you Harry Potter rice. As always, you write hurt comfort beautifully. It’s been years since I’ve read lotr fic, but this might get me into them again.
I'm Hermes chapter 1 . 8/17/2017
Whoever that woman is, she is a credit to her people! Trust a Hobbit to default to hospitality mode, whether it's for two unexpected "giants" in your stable, or thirteen unexpected dwarves in your dining room. :)
Elwaith chapter 1 . 5/30/2017
I just love the hobbit lady here and all the descriptions of hospitality in your stories, even from people who don't personally know Aragorn or Halbarad. It's simple and it really goes a long way. So charming
lindahoyland chapter 1 . 11/26/2016
I just loved this. How Aragorn cares for Halbarad and the kind Hobbit.
Anonymous chapter 1 . 11/6/2016
I love this story. Healer!Aragorn is one of my favorite Aragorns. Bless you for this!
Laura Gray chapter 1 . 11/6/2016
I love Aragorn-Halbarad stories! In my head-canon, this is Aragorn's closest friendship, and a rare source of solace in a largely lonely, solitary life.

Aragorn's determination to get his cousin to shelter and safety regardless of the cost to himself also resonates for me, echoing the military ethos to never leave a wounded comrade on the field. I've never beed in combat, but many of those I'm currently serving with have. I find that it's often easier to understand the unfamiliar through fiction than nonfiction, and stories like this, though as far removed as it is possible to be from our current conflicts, nevertheless help me imagine what some of my friends have been through.
sailor68 chapter 1 . 11/4/2016

Guest chapter 1 . 11/2/2016

KeyMom chapter 1 . 10/30/2016
Oh these Rangers! And don't I love love love a hospitable Hobbit! Thank you for another gem, a slice of life in the wild, protecting the settlements from the evil things... Even Trolls. I hope Aragorn will take full advantage of the hospitality and even OVER stay...take the blessings, man of the West, and be thankful!
PSW chapter 1 . 10/30/2016
Ah! I wondered if we would see the spring story at some point. :-) Aragorn always does seem to be having problems in the Bree-lands, right? But thank goodness for Hobbits...

Thanks for writing!
