I enjoyed this chapter, and I always enjoy your interpretations of the Founders.
The last line I thought was perfectly fitting.
The action scene was very fast, but that seemed to be what you were going for so it was great!

So were these dark wizards part of the famous Order? I've been wondering about those, but you've really only given us bits and pieces of information about it. I both look forward to finding out more about them and dread it at the same time, if you know what I mean.

And Salazar was SO worried. He's never convincing me otherwise. ;)

I will always LOVE fics where salaam and godric interact. It's an unspoken rule for me. But I also need to read fics with weight. Fics that aren't pointless or rambling. Fics that have something to prove and not just exist simply to exist.

I NEED to be challenged. I need fics with the characters I love to TELL me something about them that I don't know. Or something that I suspect but could never confirm.

You've done that again as you always have.

What I loved about this fic wasnt just how it showed how much salaam loved godric but also how they were still so very different. 2 different people. 2 different aspects of humanity. A similar goal, a paralleled compassion for one another but so utterly different concerning the extent they would go for one another.

I loved the line.

"Godric would have broken their wands, and let them go free. Godric was a good man. He didn't kill unless he had to.

Godric might be dead, and Salazar wasn't a good man."

Because in 3 sentences you managed to sumarise both their characters and how they're so different.

I loved how you still insist that while salaam might be doing good he is at his core an ex apprentice of the dark arts. Someone who understands completely that the lines that divide what is good and wrong is blurred on a good day and non existent on a bad one.

But even then he doesn't kill all of them which I find fascinating because he still takes Godric's morals into consideration. He still respects them and understands them even if they do not align to his own and he even reveres them. Admitting that Godric is ultimately 'a Good Man'.

I really love that. I love that he understands so completely HIS own stance but isn't so stubborn as to be unwilling to waver with the right argument and teaching's which he gets from godric.

I suppose if there was anything wrong with this fic it would probably be just me wishing that I could have seen godric fight. Godric showcasing how he got the name as the best duelist in history. Godric being the hero and champion he's held up to be.

But that's nitpicking and for what this fic was meant to be, it was unashamedly, unreservedly brilliant in every possible way
