Aaaa~~ so I left a review on your AO3 account for this story. Then I found it on here! I was so overjoyed that I reread it again and stayed up all night till I had to go to work at 6am. 5 hr energy drinks are a godsend! I just love how original it is! I get tired after awhile rereading the same plot over and over again without anything really changing. I'm actually thinking of making a AcexOc story. Hmm~ I might. I'm curious if you are going to have some of the same crew join. Like the main one. Never read to light-novel only really read his crew on wiki. Not the best place to learn things from I know. I hope you add more females. Ace's crew was such a sausage fest. Along with Whitebeard. All his Division Commanders are male and only a handful of the captain's are female. Like three or four I believe. Anyway~~ i can't wait for you to update! I've literally thought about this story all day at work! My sleep deprived brain wouldn't stop wondering about it!

This was a gloriously long chapter, I love how it came out! I hope you continue with this story because you are making me fall in love with these characters! Kat being so happy makes me love him even more, he is just a lovely little cinnamon roll. I actually liked the spice family as well, I can see from other reviews that salt is really hated but I kinda just feel like she is a kid that feels really helpless. Which can be annoying but I get her a little more after this chapter.

Also the stuff with Ace getting a makeover, that was brilliant! Actually believable based on my I have seen and read about Ace in canon. I am so excited for the next chapter! I feel selfish because this one is really long but it looks like we are just getting to the good parts!

I've finally figured out what pisses me off the most about Cona and Salt. It's the lack of explanations (and that mild sense of entitlementI dunno if you wanted to give that impression, and maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I got from them).

Take here for example: they want to run from the Mime and get Kat to run too, but give exactly zero reason as to WHY. Absolutely not a word as to why that individual is dangerous, aside from nonsense pertaining to him not being able to get out as long as he thinks the box is there. It does make for very good, very One Piece style of interaction and scenesI commend you therebut still annoying from a character perspective. This is the boy you were trying to kill previously, and admitted to wanting to do it because he's different (and good for you there Cona, as much of an asshole as you are, at least you're honest about it now, my esteem of you went up there) not even a couple of minutes beforehand, and now you're giving him no context whatsoever for trying to get him to do something you want.

And SaltI mean, she's a kid so I should go easier on her, but... She's injured, completely useless in that . . . . . beatdown and she knows it. And she whatwants Kat to go back for Cona (who tried to kill him in his sleep). Kat who is carrying her, saving her, who is injured and bloody and not a match for the Mimewhich she KNOWS since she has eyes and was right there and has seen it, can in fact see in the moment of interaction in Kat's bloody face. But she angrily thrashes and wants to go backhave Kat risk his life for it (see that bit of entitlement there, as if he ows it to them). I'd have dropped her right then and there and left her to her own devices. Kat's a really good person.

And the bartender. Ugh. UGH. The most entitled asshole of them all. And she has the nerve to spit insults at Quinn. Her entire reasoning boils down tothe world is unfair/mean to me so it excuses me for being an asshole to others. And have the nerve to get angry when someone calls her out on it. Ugh. Fucking hypocrite.
I get it, I really do. But I'm still glad it blew up in her face. Hopefully it hurts. (Liked Cona's reaction during their confrontation)

Good job with these charactersyou really did well. The more worked up I get, the better the writing got me.

Also, just how did Quinn manage to weasel herself out of that one? Was it the looking different thing you mentioned? Or was it her attitude? Her POV was the funny part of this chapter. From Ace's shenanigans to her reaction to Kat.

Spice is awesome. I'm really glad he's sticking around, I don't want to let him go. What a character.

I don't have much of an impression on the sisters yet (the Mom, though, I already like), but I'm interested. I really appreciated Cinnamon's insight into Spice, as little as there was. Pepper though, I'm still on the fence on. That's all personality wise, you wrote them well as characters. I'll wait for more screen time for them.

Also, I can't wait for Quinn and Spice to meet. It's gonna be funny, I can feel it. Please let it be next chapter.

Ace has decided and I love it. He loves his crew so much and I am having all the feels. So many feels. Ahg.

Great chapter! Pretty sure Spice is Salts older brother and I really hope he joins the crew. Spice and Quinn sassing Ace would be hilarious also someone else needs to be there if Ace and Quinn need saving from water besides Kat. While the chapter wasn't as long as the previous I still enjoyed a lot! :)

This was a really fun read! I have always wish people would write more stories about the spade pirates instead of having most stories about Ace start when he was a kid. I hope you keep going with this story because I think I am in love with all your original characters, that is a hard thing to achieve. Looking forward to the next chapter.

There were so many good moments in this chapter! I loved how the Bartender mistook Quinn for a noble and the attemp of Ace' first fire-fist. And that little moment between Ace and Quinn. I really like their friendship and looks like Quinn is the mom of the grouo and Kat is the fishmen son that Quinn and Ace adopted. I liked many other moments and I had to put the phone down because I needed to laugh at them and I enjoyed the fact that this chapter was so long! :D

Great chapter! I don't mind if Ace, Quinn, and Kat bail out later on when whatever puppet comes to kill them and the brothel people. Because you know what? Fuck the bartender. I understand her, but still fuck her. I won't even call her a bitch because that's an insult against all of the female dogs out there to be associated with her.
