You have a really wonderful start here. But how did the Death Eaters find out about the Prophecy to begin with, since Snape didn't relay it to them? Regulus, maybe?

Aha, Dumbledore now has the watch that ended up in Florida (*See* "Girl, Gold Watch, and Everything"). Of course, this means the whole blood wards things is bogus, since the child won't have any Evans blood, but the point of Harry being at the Dursleys was only to make him grateful to be rescued in the first place.

But that's horrible what happened to Bethany. Albus is a murderer, but hey, it's for the Greater Good!

I hope Bethany's family surrounds Severus and the baby and help make their lives at least livable.

Oh, and however did Albus feed the Prophecy to the Death Eaters without Snape? And there isn't anyone going to feel guilty enough to pledge his life to Albus this time around.

Though it's nice to see James actually learn to *think* about what he and his friends did. It would have been good for James to let Snape know about this, of course, but oh well.

It's been a year and a half since you last updated. You promised a time skip in your story, it's become a time skip in real time. I guess real life has gotten busy. Hope you find the time to write in future

Impressive storytelling and you've managed to hit nearly all of my pothole pet-peeves: bullies becoming the more likely villains and NOT the bullied; Severus uttering the epithet at Lily in extremis and not because of any belief; and last, that Dumbledick is an unmitigated bastard-in canon, too! (In mho) ;D
