Guest chapter 1 . 12/18/2017
It took me so long to find an author who could write such beautiful stories about such a beautiful movie. The entire thing was so carefully written and elegant, and your tone is so sophisticated I wouldn't have been surprised if this was actually official. And what I loved about it was how you kept the ending melancholy, and about moving on, just like how the movie ended in such a bittersweet way. I love how you managed to just get the tone and meaning of the movie then carry it seamlessly into your own work. This should seriously be more well-known. I mean the added text in brackets gave the entire thing another layer and that ending was spot on and so so so genius. I think you made me cry. You hit me right in the feels. Thank you so much for writing this, it's perfect TT Please continue writing more stories! You're an amazing writer and I want to keep reading your works!

I hope you are proud of yourself, my already crap day was ruined by this beautiful piece! And it's only 8am! I have to go the rest of the day before I can stare at my ceiling tonight. That movie and this piece hit too close to home, and I love it.

This is pretty close to what I imagined what would happen after the movie. I love the tragic, melancholy tone
MegaKiraraLover chapter 1 . 9/6/2016
So very bittersweet and wonderfully poetic, just like the movie. Excellent job! Thank you for sharing!
LittleWonders23 chapter 1 . 9/6/2016
This is lovely! I liked how it seemed like a continuation of the film and even how sad the whole thing is, is lovely.
Shiro chapter 1 . 9/2/2016
I just watched this movie, and I must say that this is a wonderful continuation of it, especially with the folk-tale-esque style you used to write it. This really does feel like it could have been a five-minute add-on to the end of the story, and I love how you used the movie's words to craft your own message. Reading about the paper figures was absolutely heartbreaking, of course, but in a bittersweet way.

Thank you for the excellent fic, and here's to hoping the fandom gets more popular as more people go to see the movie!
Wordlet chapter 1 . 9/1/2016
It is such a wonderful movie, isnt it? I just saw it two days ago. Im really happy because your writing style matches that of the movie very well, it truly sou ds like a continuation.
Props for true meaning and a deep ending, and props for the little details, like the new village bell.
My favorite part is the two origami figures that sit on his shelf.
