I'm really liking this story so far! The Fluttercord relationship is developed really well and overall is just incredibly sweet. They just seem to melt into each other in every scene they share; it's adorable (Unrelated but yay for a Starlight and Trixie mention, my second favorite pairing in the show :D)

Everyone here is developed super well and the concept of the story is a really interesting look at what would happen if the Princesses decided to punish Discord for his betrayal in Twilight's Kingdom. However, the main critique I have with the idea is that is does make them come off as cruel for sentencing Discord to be turned into stone, especially since they know now he's fully conscious during that time. It's one thing when they're doing it because he's a serious threat and it's the only way to keep him contained, but using it only to punish him doesn't sit right with me. I think if they're going to give him a prison sentence, it should at least be in a prison where he's able to move around and feel (perhaps in Tartarus? Or even have him serve time in another dimension, welcoming him back on the twelve parole days a year he's given)

That being said, I love the idea of Discord having his own holiday and it makes me wish I could step into the story just to be a part of it; Topsy Turvy Day seems like so much fun! I also enjoy seeing him and the Mane Six get along so well. His scene with Rainbow Dash reflecting on her friendship with him in particular was really nice to see

Man, this carnival sounds like the most awesomest thing ever! The pirate ride, the Ferris Wheel...even the flight spell.

It's all just so awesome. It's nice change of pace from some of your other stories too. ;)

Ooo, good start to this AU fic!

I like the efforts to make Discord's part of the garden appeal to him. And of course Discord's previous additions to the celebrations sound like a lot of fun. Canterlot's giant slides sound the most fun to me, though the building walking and sliding does present a lot of possibilities, hmm, nevermind, I can't choose. XP

On the one hoof, "Yay! Look, there is a way for ponies and Discord to get along!" On the other hoof, while his point about ponies and chaos is mitigated by this awesome idea, it's still only once a year. Or maybe make that four times a year, depending on where and how Discord ends up celebrating the other holidays. In other words, it's infrequent and scheduled. Not to mention in stone for the vast majority of 10 years. So his original (and ongoing) problem still holds.

Though, at least in this AU after the 10 years, ponies would hopefully be much less like to run away, they'd still be annoyed or upset about his general habit of utterly destroying whatever your previous plans for the day was. *pokes Twilight*

Anyways, I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm glad to hear from you, since I thought it'd take the school year resuming for you to have time free, but either way, yay new story! Yeah, it means less time for my absolute favorite, Elements of Opposition, but this will hopefully be far less...disturbing...and that's awesome too. Update soon please!
