My only gripe is that 15 years seems like a bit much, but other than that I really enjoyed this fic. I thought she was gonna yell and be angry and maybe threaten to leave him and then he was gonna try and win her back, but her hurt was so much more powerful than that.

Thank you for standing on your soapbox. I appreciate this story. I strongly and wholeheartedly agree with you. Hinata is a shinobi and Kishi did a poor job with her character. He sucks at developing female characters.

Jesus Christ. I made a terrible mistake reading the reviews. This story was absolutely great! I loved it so much. Ignore the haters. This is fanfiction. Get over yourself.

Just want to add few stuff,

Hinata character was to prove this more than a weak heiress to her clan , her father,
she wasn't gifted like Neji and she had to train harder to be where she wanted to be.

Being strong is't just a physical thing it mental thing it should make her less a person.
maybe a too Hinata may risk a replay of Kaguya
(I dont really believe that but with what happen with the Uchiha's)

Hinata wanted be strong for Naruto, herself and teammate and wanted stop being the burden to them which she did. I sure Hinata's Ninja ability is still there.

I think Hinata is smart and she was strong enough to protect what she care and love.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand there is no evidence that Naruto doesn't come home at night or leave before they get up. At all. The movie actually showed that Naruto does indeed eat breakfast with everyone. Naruto was only super busy in the movie during that time because Sasuke brought him new information chuunin exams, which ofc would cause him to be extra busy.

And for the record, it's not as though I don't understand where your coming from. I think all your complaints are very valid, and at first even I was sort of questioning why Naruto was so busy, until I figured it out.

Naruto is far busier then other Hokages because the village seems to have tripled in size, and he actually had foreign policy to deal with, seeing as their are actual allies. He's dealing with technology ect. Previous Hokage were essentially only war generals. Naruto is clearly taking on a far larger role then previous Holage probably ever cared to do. Plus, I assume Kishimoto really wanted to see his life reflected in Naruto, so he mirrored himself as Naruto.

Also: Naruto is only human. He makes mistakes. If stories don't have conflict, then what's the point of the story? And I don't think any characters are being demeaned for it either. They are just being realistic. Naruto isn't Jesus.

Oh, and I think it's silly to say that Naruto "magically" has time for Sasuke in terms of gaiden other reviewers.
Sasuke reports are generally on the level of "this literally effects the entire shinobi world", so, no, I don't think it's that absurd that Naruto would go in person, especially due to a report about new freakin Uchiha eyes. That's a pretty big fucking deal lmao it's not like they were getting together for a picnic. Y'all are really trippin'...

What... Hinata isn't just a "stay at home mom". She's the wife of the president of the village, the Hokage. Do you think Michelle Obama complains because her husband is always busy? I think it's really unfair to say that Hinata just shuts up and takes it when you have no idea the stresses of what a life like that entails. It's not like Naruto has a choice: he can't opt out of this. Hinata and Naruto are both adults, and they understand that work has to sometimes come first. Especially an incredibly important job like Naruto's. I think you're talking from a seat of not understanding this situation.

My own dad is a doctor, and sometimes our missed important days because he had to work late. It's not his fault that he had a demanding job. Did it suck for me mom and siblings? Yes, but it's just how it had to be. I think your being really unfair to their situation. And at least Naruto tries with clones. I didn't get that. And look at Kishimoto himself: do you think he got much time off? Do you think his wife was weak for just "sucking it up"? Was my own mom weak?

And I don't think we were watching the same movie. In what way was Hinata weak in The Last? She left her entire group and went undercover to save her sister, and only failed because she was fighting a Demi God. She didn't ask for Naruto to save her sister. She was the one putting up the effort while Naruto was moping around in a cave because he got his heart broken. I don't understand how u can say Hinata wasn't strong in that movie, seeing as she was stronger then Naruto mentally for most of it. Plus, she was more then willing to throw Naruto away to save her sister, so, no, she doesn't just say "Naruto-kun" all day lmao

I get your point here about him not being there but you have to compare naruto's hokage job to the president of the US which is full time position and even tho there are no wars there are still small conflicts around the world as explained by the hidden novels, so as a leader of a powerful ninja nation it's their duty to keep that peace. Past Hokages didn't have alliances with the other hidden villages so they only worried about their village which explains why he is so busy.

One thing I don't agree here is Naruto has only been hokage for about 3 years (my guess). Before that he has been shown in pictures from the boruto movie and manga and also the ending of the last movie that he did spend all his time with his family and it is until recently that he hasn't been able to do that because of his position as Hokage.

I really like the story and I love your little rant at before it started. I feel that way too. I think a lot of people want to write off Hinata as weak or not as strong as Sakura when that is not true. Especially after all the work she put in prior to Naruto leaving to train and with Neji before the fourth world war. It is obvious how strong she is now both physically and mentally but that is downplayed or not addressed as you said. That is probably why I love this story. Also, I think they show parts of how strong she has gotten in the last but they always stop right before she really shows her strength which is frustrating. I love stories like these though when they show that Hinata won't put up with anything. She is still strong despite being quiet or shy and she has broken out of her she'll considerably. Another thing I feel is downplayed by the show is that they show how she 'needs' him because he encourages her, etc. but they don't really acknowledge how much he needs her. But let me stop before I really rant! I hope you write more!

I really like the whole "putting Hinata first"

I do understand the whole Hinata's stuff but it is what it is.
I dont think NH fan are naive in thinking it peachy,
there nothing that can be changed about it.
We just had to respect the decision that been made.

Naruto and Hinata found what work for them.
Sacrifice had to be make,

Look at it this Kishimoto spend 15yr making Naruto and sacrifice time with his wife and daughter.

I rather Hinata be with someone who she loves
than to be on the moon with someone she dont love and is to be the housewife you dont want her to be.

But I think cool in the way you wrote it and I hope it get a better NH ending that you hope for.
I was worried that this was a Anti NH FF.
