I would have thought the end result to Lance touching Keith's hair would be for Keith to sock Lance in the jaw big time. That kind of move is entering ones personal space, and a big don't to someone whose got social issues. I do though like the fact the crush starts on Keith's side, and that he's trying to drop Lance clues about his feelings. He's not exactly being subtle about it, but then Lance can be quite dense when it doesn't come to the stuff he knows, like pop culture. I see him being into pop culture, but not getting other people's pop culture preferences.

The idea of Lance flirting with Keith – I think it can be taken one of two ways. First, a guy teasing one of their guy friends, or how Keith interpreted it – flirting. At that point, the relationship kind of feels like it's forced a bit, like “oh, well, we all know and shipped you guys, so it's got to be.” I think it would have made more sense for Lance to either taken quite a bit of time to come to terms with his feelings, or for the story to have ended with Lance letting Keith down gently. It kind of, derailed characterization wise at the end.
