Interesting take...not sure if it’s what I was looking for though...fifty chapters or so for Armsmaster’s daughter to be a Ward, Skitter and Tattletale being barely mentioned, and the OC’s millennial ignorance, probably the best way I can describe it, rubs me the wrong way... I think the only big thing I really liked was Rachel getting a break and finally getting good parental figures and probation.

I liked it until gadget became a hero. Also what about Ocean, she died because of her and now its seems forgotten.

Huh. Literally the first word of this fic is a misspelled name. Colin. One l. Not Collin. Not a promising start.

Hunter of Light was funny and Of Wasps and Wizards was a delight so I was excited to see this story. I think I may have sabotaged myself by setting high expectations. This isn't a bad story and I think it could have been enjoyable if I wasn't expecting it to be better than it was. Even so I made it 14 chapters before giving up. No matter how hard I try I can't get over how ignorant the main character is.

Don't get me wrong, the idea of a tinker power going to someone who is otherwise an idiot isn't a bad idea. We get some excellent contrast between tinker-thoughts and her regular thoughts that could be the core of some excellent characterization. The problem is that you give us a character who isn't believable. Sely reads like a caricature of trailer trash and would almost be comedic if taken further, but instead stops short of parody to just be painful.

I was hoping the first few incidents were just about you getting a feel for things, but 14 chapters in there hasn't been a change. I hope you continue to write as I enjoy some of your other stories, but this fic isn't for me. Thanks for taking the time and effort to share your stories.

Umm im not sure whats happening here. You timeskipped? Why does our heroine not resemble her past self at All? Did you get bored or something? And why is she gay all of a sudden? I just don't know anymore.
