Well written and a good take on what Clint could have been thinking in those situations. Obviously I'm writing this after Infinity War and Endgame, so the final Thanos scene is not quite in keeping with the movies, but it made me think: if Clint really were there, given Thanos' armor and much thicker skin, he would probably have aimed for the head (eyes). Clint might have actually saved the day there.

I'm not really sure what you were talking about in the end note, but now you put the idea of Tony going Luddite in my head, and I kind of actually want to see a crack for of that...

HELL YEAH! -in agreement with you rant- because dang it people! the only way to make it right is to say he's really a Skrull, thats to me the ONLY way they can redeem Cap from that. Also, way to spit in the eye of the creators of the comic, they were both Jewish for pitys sake! Making him Hydra, makes him a Nazi, and yes Hydra is a Nazi regime. (thats in response to an earlier review I saw somewhere else online.)

I liked your fic, it was very well done, and I can see Clint being the last one standing, and then somehow managing to win. Cuz, lets face it...Its Clint! David and Goliath!

Personally, hard to get worked up over Hydra Steve given the existence of clones, multiverse duplicates, Life Model Robots (Logan "killed" a "reporter" to help remake his street cred at one point), numerous forms of mind control and brainwashing, numerous impersonators, etc. And as noted before, it could be the real deal pulling a scam
