Wow! This story was absolutely amazing. One of the best AU stories that I've read in a while! I was hooked from the very beginning. The introduction reminded me of bandit OQ with the trading of notes to challenge and warn each other. "The course of true love never does run smooth" is one of my favourite quotes about OQ so I loved the way you used it in the context of this story.
I loved the way you showed us both sides of the vigilante stories through Tink and Sidney: Tink being supportive of the Evil Queen's affords and reporting the problematic handling of violence against women while Sidney condemned the Evil Queen for causing trouble. I also loved how you highlighted the misogynistic and sexism issues by showing how people are more tolerant of men fighting for social justice than woman. I think it's brilliant the way you integrated these real life issues into your story. The use of "Evil Regals" and "Hoodies" as names of their fans made me smile. I'm amazed at how well-thought-out this story was. Like the amount of details with Sidney's news article on the Merry Men's accomplishment and the Hoodies rally that Regina and Henry went to were just amazing. Speaking of Henry, I loved the Regal Believer banter scene. They're adorable and I'm glad you included them.
The way you set up Robin and Regina's relationship to mirror their relationship on the show was a nice touch. I liked how Regina knew about Robin's identity from the beginning while Robin didn't. The banter between them was lovely especially during the part on the roof. I loved the moment when Robin finally connect the pieces together and figured out that the Evil Queen was Regina. I also loved that he then proceeded to flirt with her. Oh Robin. The line about Robin's fondness of flower alliterations betraying his identity made me laugh. Robin asking Regina out while they were in the ventilation system, about to destroy illegal drugs was such a Robin thing to do. To be honest, I couldn't imagine it happening any other way. Another thing that I liked about their relationship was how Regina and Robin were fans of each other's work as vigilantes. I liked that they had mutual respect for what they both do to fight the injustices of society. The canon references to Regina seeing the tattoo and them being soulmates were brilliant.
The ending was perfect. I'm very happy that they got their happy ending! Thank you for sharing this wonderful story with us!
