ericajanebarry chapter 1 . 5/9/2016
Oh, please don't doubt yourself as a writer. This is just lovely. I believe this is a very plausible explanation of Daisy's past; why she's always waving off those who care for her. And I've always seen through all of Beryl's nagging and criticism to the heart underneath that sees Daisy as the daughter she never had. Thank you for this. It's beautiful in its simplicity.

ChelsieSouloftheAbbey chapter 1 . 5/9/2016
Ohhhh my poor heart. This was absolutely, positively perfect in a heart-wrenching way. I love how you tied it in to Elsie's own yearnings, too - as well as her recognition of what the day meant for Daisy, but in a way that didn't take away at all from Beryl. I love the idea that Elsie was the one who yearned for a child, but when she was with Beryl and they found Daisy together that it was BERYL who took Daisy as her own. What a beautiful Mother's Day story. xxx
