I'm a sucker for Spock and McCoy teaming up to protect Kirk or outwit him for his own good so I loved this. I'm just as big a sucker for Kirk teaming up with someone else to help Spock and McCoy for their own good. To get this all in the same story makes me very happy. Thank you.

The 3 guys and Rand were perfect. Loved the premise dialogue and humor. You could have a lot of fun situations arise continuing this one.

Loved the Spock-McCoy interaction, especially the precisely 5 seconds. Kirk's reaction was great. This story just begs to be continued.

Love it, but it's incomplete imo. Imagine the ploys Bones and Spock invent to keep Kirk sane-under-pressure, not to mention his machinations to become part of the friendship while dealing with Wesley in a way that doesn't see him sent to the equivalent of Delta Vega while the Enterprise is put under the command of someone completely unsuitable.
And then, imagine the entire crew's reactions...

Too cute and I love Janice spying for Kirk. But I was also interested to know how they plan to thwart Wesley when/if he come on board. Thought we'd see them all uniting against Wesley. Or was that all part of someone's plan to get Spock and McCoy conspiring together?

I don't think he'll ever guess that the common ground that this newfound friendship is formed on is actually him.

Too funny. The dialogue was charming and Janice Rand is a lovely presence.

you'll have to make this longer how they talk to jim about Wesley what happens when he comes aboard? this is a nice beginning but leaves you with lots of -possibilities. was the other time Wesley came aboard a previous story? it sounds a good one

Seeing the friendship between them makes me happy! When those two work together, they are an awesome force indeed!
