Aww man, cliffhangers are simultaneously the best and the worst. What a mean place to leave us! I can't wait until they all (hopefully) make it through this. That way Lloyd can back to being in a new relationship. Sian can be sarcastic to everyone. And Mared and Tom can gaze lovingly into each other's eyes, and in between doing that start a little nuclear family with Elin 3

Ah! I'm seriously loving all these twists and turns. And the proof that this case really impacted all four of our lovely detectives, not just Mared and Tom, it shows how close they all are. I wonder if you're going to have Mared tell Sian and Lloyd about Elin's parentage.
Tom's total support of Mared is the best. I want them to just be happy together.

I was so sure that I had already reviewed this chapter, my life is a lie... Lol, anyway. This chapter was fantastic, with its quiet moments that also carry so much weight with them. The whole Prosser/father situation is so intriguing and I am endlessly curious as to what both Elin and Tom's reactions will be when they find out. I do hope that Mared decides to tell them, and that they don't end up hearing the news from someone else, worst of all Prosser. And I adore the pace and feeling of Tom and Mared's relationship.
This story has me seriously hooked. In between chapters it has me fantasizing on what could happen next. Parts of me just wants extreme lovey-dovey fluff for Mared and Tom, and Elin too. To have them make a nice tidy family unit of themselves, with Elin eventually, and shyly, asking Tom if she can call him "dad" and he and Mared constantly declaring their love for each other. And the other parts of me enjoy this dark twisty turny angle you have going here. I think that I would be happy with any story involving the two of them together really, no matter the context.
I genuinely cannot wait for this next chapter :) Thank you for entertaining me and my shipper mind with your writing!
