Reviews for Friendly Fire
TheLittleOven chapter 3 . 10/22
Awe, I love the part about how a enemy can also be a friend! You wrote so good, it was everything plus more than I was expecting. You stayed true to all the characters and their humor fit them to a T. If I had to give you a rating from 1-100 on this story, it would be a 100% Excellent job from me!
FQS15 chapter 3 . 1/17/2019
Awwww, thanks so much for this wonderful story!
Tashi chapter 3 . 4/26/2017
This was amazing! The plot and characterization was fantastic!
snooky-9093 chapter 3 . 1/18/2017
Glad Schultz stood his ground and thatHogan complimented him.

Interesting side note;: most likely, in pur time, the injured man would be standing a lot sooner.

Great chapter!
snooky-9093 chapter 2 . 1/18/2017
Nice contrast between the kind doctor and the German patients. Hogans psychology with sSvhultz and his desire to keep Newkirk safe is logical. (not that I'd trust Schultz, but that's me). Not sure they had medical monitors back then or injectable (unsure of term) IVs. But that's minor.
snooky-9093 chapter 1 . 1/18/2017
Welcome! I'm always up for a good H/C tale. Having Schultz be the one to shoot Bewkirk is the utmost in irony. I am surprised Bewkirk didn't realize he was shot at first. Not too familiar with firearms, but I assume a rifle at such close range would do a lot of damage.

I loved how the tone of the chapter quickly changed from light to tense. Ditto with Hogans demeanor. We've seen him get nasty a few times in the series, and I would fear crossing him. Here, he takes absolute charge.
katbybee chapter 3 . 9/23/2016
I had read this sometime ago, and apparently forgotten to review. I love this story, although I had noted the same detail about a point-blank rifle wound as another reviewer. It would have been much more serious, but-setting that consideration aside, as this IS fiction, the story was wonderfully told, and I enjoyed it very, very much! Great job!
Guest chapter 3 . 6/3/2016
You did a great job on this. I was thinking though. You might want to do a companion piece to this involving the soldier that was in Newkirk's room and his friends trying to go after Newkirk. You could also involve the doctor and bring him around to helping Hogan and his men with their missions. Don't mean to sound pushy or bossy. Just thought it sounded like a great idea.
willwrite4fics chapter 3 . 6/4/2016
What a great ending. Trauma, danger and then the sweet funny ending.
janna12 chapter 3 . 6/3/2016
Very well done.
Thanks for a great story.
SonderQuill chapter 3 . 6/3/2016
Great job on this chapter, as well as the story! An enjoyable read; and I liked the extra action/tension you put in too! Truth be told, I wasn't expecting it at all. Which is great because pre-guessed problems that end up happening are not nearly as fun or gripping to read as the unexpected stuff. Keep writing HH stories!
NickTonyK chapter 3 . 6/3/2016
Very good!
SonderQuill chapter 2 . 5/27/2016
Welcome to the Hogan's Heroes nook of fan-fiction! It's nice to have a new story. You did very well keeping everyone in character! And I'm glad Newkirk's going to be OK, of course. But, honestly, nothing like a bit of whump for my favorite character!
Please keep writing this. It's good!
CaptainTreeShrew chapter 1 . 4/29/2016
This was a really good chapter, but I have to point out something which I don't think you ever took into consideration.

At point blank range, Newkirk would definitely notice if he was shot by Schultz. In fact, any rifle round at that range would do little more than just puncture him, it would have blown a chunk out of him. A small caliber pistol round, you might have gotten away with it, but come on really? A 196 grain FMJ 8mm projectile going at 2700FPS is clearly going to damage him significantly. As in, blowing out his entire side.

There were also hefty penalties for keeping your weapon unloaded, as unloaded, a soldier is presented with nothing more than a club to hold back prisoners of war with.

Aside from that blatantly obvious technical detail you missed out, good read.
KarterMine chapter 2 . 4/25/2016
Yep, Klink, I think you had better. Great story!
