I absolutely loved this story- reading it for the second time now. I especially loved how people of Camelot thanked Arthur at the end.

Hello Author, I wanted to say your story i somehow exceptional and not because of very great writing skills or great, memorable character sketches but because you've touched something very few stories have touched in my understanding, that is, Arthur's connection to Merlin where their destined bond is something usually felt on one side and also Arthur's connection to his people is pretty well sketched out too. I like how this story lends to increasing the understanding of its reader, which is not easily forgettable. It is a good story, could do with some editing but thank you for writing it in the first place. That was a bit verbose, wasn't it? And I meant to give a compliment not analyse the story.

Fem!Merlin, Morgana, and Gwen? Arthur doesn't stand a chance.

Well, for some reason recently, I've been on a Fem!Merlin kick. … Literally no idea how it happened.

So I've slowly been looking through everything that's been done. Now, because I am a judgmental prig, I've been slowly compartmentalizing all the things I didn't like about the other fics done, and thinking of ways that I would do it better.

I was seriously beginning to consider trying my hand at it myself, if only to get my personal ideas of how it should go out there.

(Like, … how bad am I?)

Then I came across your story, and I about died.

Why?

Because you took everything I had thought to fix, and you did it. You beat me to EVERY SINGLE THING. Seriously. I know you're probably thinking, 'And?'

And I'll tell you! This was far more than just a need for me to see grammatical errors gone, or a desire to see more poignant imagery instead of just dialogue! Far FAR more.

Kay. At the risk of being obnoxious, and leaving a HEKKA long review, I'm going to list the things that were beginning to simmer in my mind by the time I finally found this fic.

1) You didn't copy the series but with Merlin as a girl- As wonderful as many of the fics that do this are, I feel that it is very overused, and that as fanfiction authors, we could and SHOULD take liberties and creative license with our stories. Just … ya'know. Spice it up a little.

2) You kept them all in character- THANK YOU SO MUCH. You said you deviated from Merlin's character a bit, but I think being female really does imbue someone with slightly different tendencies and qualities. (I actually very much appreciate that you know and adhere to that principle) But I've seen too many fics where for some reason, EVERYONE loves Merlin- like … just … A little Mary Sue-ish, if ya catch my drift.

Also, Arthur is a prat, and I'm glad you didn't change that about him, or try to really justify his jerkish actions at the beginning of Ep. 1. … He was giving in to peer pressure, but that doesn't make him a jerk.

3) You change POV's between the two of them! I love this one, because as much as I love Merlin- er, Merlyn, I appreciate seeing things from Arthur's POV. It's refreshing.

4) Thank you for making Morgana awesome- That is all.

5) I HATE DESTINY. It's something that I don't quite like about the series sometimes, how everyone is just like, "Oh, I can't make decisions for myself, since it's not my destiny" cuz that's dumb. So when Merlyn rebelled against that, I almost cried with happiness.

6) Sassy Kilgarrah? I love you. Also, the fact that she's training with him is great.

7) Thank you for not having Valiant attempt to molest Merlyn. I don't mind it, but it's always struck me as something that's VERY against the knight code. So … yeah.

8) Thank you for keeping the speech, cuss words, and almost everything time/series appropriate. It's not just the characters that make the show; it's the setting.

So. This is long, and I'm a terrible person and now you know. But thank you for this gem. I don't favorite stories without reason, and yours has earned my respect.

Also, If you're not dead, and you ever read this, I would LOVE to beta-read for you! I've wanted to be a beta-reader for so long! It would be an honor, if you'll have me, and don't have anyone else already.

PS I'm sure you can tell I'm annoying enough to help in some small way.

Yaaas Home Alone! I gotta say, this is my first review for this story (as I just finished reading all that you have posted in one sitting) but I really like it so far! This is REALLY well written! I'm excited for the next chapter, too. I was kinda afraid it was abandoned until I saw the top of the story. Anyway, keep up the good work!
