IT'S BACK! Man, I thought you had cancelled this story or something like that. I'm really happy to see it again, even after all this time! Now let's read.

First up, good work on the opening bit with Phobos. It's been a while since I've watched W.I.T.C.H., but he was definitely my favorite villain of the series, so it was great seeing his perspective on things. Especially this new, more sympathetic and morally grey Phobos, who's trying his best under these circumstances. There are still traces of the Magnificent Bastard, but also a more confident leader too. And while get some new info regarding the Sisterhood (or possibly old info, sorry but it has been a while, so my memory of events aren't that great), what's most interesting, is that Phobos, recognized Will…and her resemblance to pre-transformation Van. Ooooh, I'm excited to see where this goes.

The butterfly effects continue, as with Vathek having been knocked out by W.I.T.C.H., he finds himself having to be investigated by a creepy MFer named Dezzhed, having to defend his innocence to the bastard. He fortunately manages to keep his true loyalties secrets, though it made for quite the introduction to this new member of Phobos' staff. I'm already disturbed by this guy.

And over with the Guardians, really loved the idea, of starting their segment, with them waking up after their victory, still trying to deal with their new positions. It was a very nice touch, to make all feel more real and give us some time with the five of them, outside of their new positions. Having them all feel incredibly awkward and unsure of what to do next, was a great change of reactions from their original ones. Feels a lot more real and believable. And fun. The awkward silence was hilarious. Another great change from canon, was Caleb actually wanting to train the Guardians, so they're more capable next time around. It's a great way to give him some more development (Yan having to tell him, not too be so strict was a really good start), and it's bound to make W.I.T.C.H. a much more capable team. Even if, they're not all onboard with it.

Back in Meridian, Mimira gets an invitation to a fancy shindig hosted by Cedric of all people, maybe this will be when their "romance" starts, and Van's busy tending to the wounded of the attack…while thinking to herself about it. Loved hearing her inner thoughts on the whole thing, reflecting on how things have changed, how things might turn out and the very real possibility, that she might be forced to fight her old friends…and herself. Really great stuff, hinting at what might come. Other than that though, liked seeing how Panleus was doing, and we start to see Mimira's affections for Cedric take root, during his grand speech to his fellow changelings. Especially loved his Hopper moment, where he disciplines his more confident soldiers, as he reminds them of their goals and exactly why he's in charge. It made for a great badass moment for Cedric, and gave the changelings more motivations, for why they side with Phobos. Great stuff.

After a brief bit with Tegus, regarding his own feelings towards recent events and establishing some stuff between him & Van, we go back over to Earth, where Caleb is attempting to get everyone training…which is sadly undermined, by Irma & Taranee needing more focus on her school life. Awww, the complicated world of teenage life. Good times. Needless to say, lessons don't go well. Regardless, interesting choice, cutting between the Guardians training and Van meeting with Tegus, having him send her army of spy frogs into Heatherfield. Van can now spy on the Guardians. That's a terrifying thought… Great chapter though. Really great development and world building. I'm excited to see, what'll happen in part 2.

That scene with Cedric reminded me of that one scene with Hopper in "A Bug's Life".

Yay, this story is back in action. So many divergences, all of them good. I know it'll be tough but I have faith you'll traverse these unknown waters. Curious how you'll tackle Elyon's story now that Phobos isn't megalomaniac.

Frick yeah im glad to see this back. it is without exaggeration my favorite series of yours (which is saying something since I started following you thanks to the Dark Jade project).

Honestly i'd be glad to just see more of this, but its a good build up for whats to come. It feels like the stage is being set and the players are taking there positions. I wonder Just what Van will do with her eye's, and im interested in this true believing sister that was talked about... as well as what Van exactly is doing to the current head Abbot that Phobos talked about.

any way can't wait to read what comes next, and I hope you stay safe yourself. :)

I'm so glad you're continuing Ripples/Stirred! Feel free to write all the aimless filler you want, as long as you keep adding to this story! Seriously, we need more W.I.T.C.H. fics. Specifically, good ones. This is one of the few! I cannot wait to see how you reveal everything about Van to the other characters. Also, I'm loving your world building for Maridian and even for the usual one dimensional characters, like Cedric and Vathic. Question, can you tell me to whom will you be unveiling the truth about "Van" to first? Phobos, Will, the Council of Kandrakar, someone else, or will it all come out to everyone in one big shocking reveal? I don't need to know how it'll happen or anything, I'd just love to know who.

I have read Stirred and Rippled two or three times over, waiting eagerly for when you would return. Seeing this in my notifications, ai could not believe my eyes. I don't know what changes you'll make, but I know it'll be a fun ride. This chapter was soft, but it's a good way to smooth things in.

I'm with you on the difficulties of altering events and dealing with the "ripples". Things are really "stirred" up, so a lot of canon events can't even happen. I don't even know what advice to give you. If you have a target goal in mind, then you can't just let the plot roll since you need to end up somewhere specific. But since the Canon is shot, you need to send the ball in some direction.

Note to self: If I ever do something like you did here, I'm gonna think long and hard about alternate events.

Hm... since the rebellion are more "vengeful" this time around, I can see Caleb and the girls not getting along well. There was friction in the original, and now Caleb's gotten more gritty. And with Cornelia being the defacto leader, that's asking for conflist. The girls will probably work with the rebellion as per usual, but they'll have to work harder to prove themselves. This group is out for blood.

I am truly happy that you tried so hard to give content to this story. I would not quite say that the wait was worth it, but believe me when I say that when this new chapter appeared, I had a big smile on my face and a surge of hope in my heart.
It's alive, and in the end, the fact that you are willing to continue it, to add more depth and world expansion, it's all that matter.

Maybe the next chapter won't be for a while... maybe it will be years again...

But even so ... It's alive.
