Awesome job updating this fic, though how will you go through with these as it goes off canon with diabel being alive already? did i read it right? anyhow, Sao is complicated due to time skips and how leveling ratio works with the floor levels. Well reading a novel with two years crammed in a single volume is kinda dumb. Love the xhapter by the way. Are you continuing on like the SAO progressive or skip to Ruby getting her cloak? Sycthe skills will involve crowd control with its reach and high crit and damage, though has lower dps than one handed swords because for balance sake and its in the pole arm category but nullified with Ruby's high agility. i hope to see the next chap. thumbs up!

I was honestly surprised when I saw this story had been updated. I had to reread the first chapter real quick to remember the story's premise, and I am now excited for future chapters. I thought the beginning was handled well since not much happens on the first floor.

For new skills, i have a few ideas so I'll put them here

for jaune, I thought maybe it would be cool if he had a skill that rewards him for blocking hits, something that can be used against a mob so he won't get overwhelmed. It is based on the move bide from Pokemon, but jaune retains mobility while the skill is being used.

Covenant (max skill level 100)
The shield gains a dim glow that grows brighter the more the user blocks. After 5 seconds or 10 successfully blocked hits, the glow is dispersed in a cone directly in front of the shield dealing damage and knocking back anything within its range. Damage and knock back depend on how bright the shield becomes. (30 second cool down)

Ruby, who builds high strength and speed, is able to engage a far away target quickly and retreat, giving her the closest thing SAO has to a long range weapon. The problem is that turning while moving fast is difficult with such an unbalanced weapon like a scythe. In the show, ruby gets around this problem by firing high caliber bullets and using the recoil to propel herself in the opposite direction the barrel is pointing. Since SAO lacks any form of guns, maybe you can give ruby some movement skills like Shunshin from naruto, Shunpo from bleach, or Soru from one piece. All those skills are based on fast movements, so it could work for ruby's fighting style.

As for kirito, since his dual blade Starburst Stream skill is still unavailable, why not give him a fast one handed sword combo like Ars Arcanum from kingdom hearts?

This story is awesome and the fact that you were able to save Diabel in a liaget way is great.
