Very sweet and funny! Never crossee my mind that Legolas was bad in languages. Reminds me of the time I tried to learn Spanish, where the sentence seems like the later half part comes first and the first part last. Really opposite of what I am used to.

Oh I did enjoy this. I'm no linguist myself so appreciate the work you put in here. I found it quite funny and realistic that poor ol leggy - who would have been quite isolated compared to the rest of them - struggled to deal with the language barrier. It was very comedic the way he was muttering to himself and just seeming so very confused.

As someone who learned English as a Second Language, I find Legolas' struggles very relatable. I speak it fluently now, but I remember being very confused about some things as well. As it happens, one of these was the contractions-rule.

This was entirely adorable. Thoroughly enjoyed it to the last word! It is the only LOTR fanfiction I've read of this kind. making it quite novel.

OH MY GOSH LEGOLAS IS SO ADORABLE! THE CUSTEST VARIATION ON LEGOLAS'S CHARACTER THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN! AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! This was done beautifully and it's absolutely awesome! I loved it! Legolas learning contractions... You are the first person to ever put that down in a story, I believe. Hehe!

(((((("I have -I've," Legolas finally clarified, looking up now at Aragorn, in absolute seriousness))))) THAT WAS THE BEST! Adorable Legolas, and Gimli was portrayed epically. He's awesome, and so underappreciated! XD

I feel like I so rarely get to enjoy the serious cheekiness of Tolkien's Legolas (as opposed to the endlessly ethereal movie!Legolas) and this was delightful! I loved the interactions of the Fellowship! (And as an obsessive language learner, this spoke to my heart!)
