Guest chapter 1 . 1/3
there are some inconcistencies in the ages here. he was 14 when he tested her loyalty before they traveled, but after traveling for foyr years as stannis said, he was 13? that doesn't really make any sense. he would've been 18 when they returned
VtrCst chapter 12 . 11/14/2019
It ended at a really interesting point. Really Dragonstone The Greyjoy together to make a merchant fleet and fleece the pirates along the way, it bogs my mind that no one thought of that before

First story I've read where Harry is reincarnated as Stannis Baratheon's son. Certainly butterflies the War of Five Kings.
What's happening with Daenerys?
I hope you come back to this story sometime.
Anon chapter 1 . 1/23/2019
I don't see Harry having any problem with Yara having relations outside their marriage if he's doing the same thing.
AboutFace chapter 12 . 11/30/2018
I don't know why people complain that the Harry in this story is OOC and/or about the lack of magic.

First of all, Harry does NOT need to have magic to be Harry. After reading the entire story, I can confidently say that this Harry has the same characteristics as Rowling's. They say he acts differently, however, he was reincarnated in an entirely different world and situation. He was reborn in a world stuck in the medieval period and grew up with living parents, whereas, in his previous life he was an orphan and relatively advanced technology was a thing. Those differences would have very significant effects on the growth and development of a person. Despite these differences, however, Harry still had his canon characteristics: Griffindorish in the way he fought and how he inspired loyalty in the people who are either close to or just around him while at the same time he was ambitious and thought like a Slitherin in achieving his goals. Having magic is just a bonus, but not what makes Harry who he is.

Secondly, in this story's setting, which is GoT, not just anybody can wield magic nor can they do so easily. The most notable users of magic are either purely magical beings/creatures themselves(i.e. the Others, the Children, dragons, etc.) or blessed by the gods/goddesses(Faceless Men, Valyrian Dragonlords, Orphans of the Greenblood, Greenseers, Wargs, Priests/Priestesses of R'hllor, etc.). And yes, for those people who are complaining that the gods are having tangible effects on the characters, they are a thing in this setting. While in Rowling's world Harry is considered as a magical being, this story is set in GoT. That, for me, is explanation enough as to why Harry is unable to wield magic the way he was used to in his former life. The two settings have very dissimilar rules and laws on how magic is used/performed. Plus, he doesn't even have a wand, which Rowling's setting was heavily reliant on to perform magic, nor does he know how to make one. As for wandless magic? Once again, different settings so that's up to the author whether they allow it and/or depending on their headcannon regarding how Harry practiced magic in the years after Hogwarts. I've neither watched nor read the canon HP epilogue and beyond so I won't give a comment on it.

Lastly, Harry not reminiscing much about his former life or at all. The way I see it, his memories from his past are very spotty. He doesn't know much, just enough that he knows the feeling of actually having magic and could remember performing the feats but not how or why. Believable enough since not every reincarnation is quite the same nor are its effects. Plus, I don't really like reading broody/angsty stories much, which is why I like the way this was written.

To the author, I applaud your efforts in creating wonderful piece of literature and would very much like to read more of this story compared to your other HP/GoT crossover. This, for me, is way more exciting to read. Like I mentioned in the latter part of the previous paragraph, I prefer reading stories where Harry's past has minimal/no influence in his new life. This story also has the advantage of already having moved on to the War of Five Kings.

Aboutface

P.S. Whew. This is the longest review I've ever written. Anyway, if you want more help in developing your stories, I would like to suggest that you post copies in the SpaceBattles forums. There you can actively discuss with active members the different ways you could improve and advance your stories. Be warned though that there are people who would expect your characters to be hypercompetent. Cheers!
