Woah this chapter is pretty interesting. I really like how your story is going. Your writing style is pretty good, too bad Daine and Numair aint popular anymore, wou would receive more comments :( ... I would love to see this story move in the direction of having Numair returning Daine's mortal form, basically getting rid of her godhood. Mortal are unpredictable as a checkmate to the power of the gods, which are also subject to the thoughts of humans. Plus Numair is supposedly the most powerful Mage in well forever, much more powerful than Thom or Roger. If those two were able to bring Roger back to life, surely Numair can get rid do a godhood.

Hahaha! Your chapters never fail to make me laugh - I adore the sarcastic banter between Daine and Numair and I liked Rikash's cameo here, it's not often he makes an appearance, so that was a refreshing change... and oh, parents...even offstage, I can guess what was happening and it's hilarious in my head... Good job! :)

I can't help but recall another moment when she was near death and she was offered the choice of the land of the dead, the dragons, or to become a god. I would think in this situation she would choose godhood, though I suppose she wouldn't be able to visit the mortal realm any time soon. Perhaps Kit's grandparents could pass on a message somehow...

As usual, your writing is wonderful. Love the descriptive detail of your stories. It was rather depressing with Daine dying though. Interested to see where you take it from here... do you write books for a living? I'm sure you could!

Ah. Well I suppose a story titled Poison was never going to be cheerful... Macabre as it sounds, I liked this... Your writing was just so lyrical, especially the descriptions of the different poisons when Ozorne was considering each of them.
