Kind of heavy handed. The argument that clint makes to leave the hunting business doesn't make much sense. Mary was his mother longer than his real one and he shouldnt even clearly remember his 4 years of living with his real family. Clint saying that it isn't really his fight and his easy abandonment of dean and sam makes no sense either. It's clearly done just so clint can still follow his canon story line with shield.
