exciting to read

I love how you blend past and present into one story. Applying memories to current events is a great way to function, and you show it well. Mikey is awfully cute too - I especially liked the line, "Doesn't mean you gotta." It really sounds like him.
Also, every time you update, the song "In the Bleak Midwinter" is stuck in my head all day. Good thing I like it. :-)

Yaaaay! Casey's safe! April's still awesome! Your descriptions are fantastic! Very visual and poetic! I'm in love with the last sentence!

Also, I'm really curious about the title. The fact that it isn't capitalized seems to mean something, but I don't know what... And the way it's all letters that are the same height, and the pattern of it. I don't know if I'm looking too far into things, but I swear there's a meaning there. I love it when the title has a hidden message ;)

I'm ashamed to admit that I forgot to review your last two chapters. This is gold, please don't stop writing! It's such a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of the other works in this particular fandom, and not because it's necessarily better than the others (although the quality of this piece is outstanding, I must say) but because it's a different sort of plot. I didn't see it coming from your description that Casey might get caught in a blizzard, and that was a pleasant surprise for my love of suspense. (Not a pleasant surprise for Casey, though, haha). My point is, this fic feels like uncharted territory, and that's why it's so exciting to read. I don't know how it's all going to happen, but I can't wait!

Oooooh! Stuff's happening! Nice job with the elder turtles trying to step up. They've got quite the load on their shoulders and Casey going missing is just another brick.
