Oh my, what a beariful story! I've read it multiple times, always when I need a break from sugarsweet tales! THANK YOU FOR THIS TALE!

Well, where to start? I have just binge-read this story over two or three days and I cannot find words to describe how completely blown away I am! I sincerely hope that, if you haven't already, you consider officially publishing this as it is such an incredible tale of love, loss, missed opportunities and redemption, it would be tragic to keep it from the wider world!

Breaking up one of literature's most beloved couples is a huge risk, but you did it beautifully, naturally, and plausibly. The Colonel was wonderfully rounded out as a character (I've always had a huge soft spot for him and thought it a shame he wasn't a bigger character in the original).

I cannot praise this story enough and will definitely be revisiting it many times in the future.

I am so moved by this story. Like you, the Colonel is my favorite P&P character. Even if he just seems to be the faithful wingman to his cousin. So many fanfics do him the injustice of making him a caricature - the ever pleasant and cheerful sidekick. I cannot reconcile a man who has suffered war to be so unflappably genial and one dimensional.

Lizzy seems to be opportunist..or W..who ruined Darcy's life...cheating is not acceptable. How come we cant accept Darcy having mistress..but ok for Lizzy to run with colonel...

I cannot tell you how much I loved your story. Colonel Fitzwilliam is my most favourite Austen character, more than Darcy, even more than Wentworth (Persuasion being my favourite novel). I agree that the Colonel and Elizabeth are better suited for each other and I love the way you described them all, flawed and human. I so wish you wrote more stories with our dear Colonel Richard Fitzwilliam (for me only the name Richard would do) as the main character, there are so few of them out there! I would love to see him have his HEA (with a bit less suffering perhaps) with Georgiana, or Jane or Lizzy (no Charlotte, please!). Our dear Colonel deserves the best

I wanted to dislike it because I wanted a short and sweet love story between Lizzy and Ned but it was beautiful. Long and heartbreaking but beautiful. Entirely disappointed in Darcy but it was in character and I saw no flaw with his change.

This is my first review after reading this story for the 3rd time. I just love Colonel Fitzwilliam and I am sad that more authors don't capitalize more on expanding on his character in further variations. I respect how you portrayed him and he gets his lady in the end. So many authors kill him off if he wins Elizabeth. I enjoy the original Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen but am particularly interested in the many variations that are written. Thank you for honoring the character of the Colonel and if you ever write more on his character I will be a willing reader. You really should publish this wonderful story.

Loosed? I think it's loosened. It's odd to see the name for Colonel Fitzwilliam 's father not be the Earl of Matlock.

Did not like this story. U completely changed Darcy's character. He's nothing if not a man of action.
