I think it's refreshing to see the Great Jon's reaction to the wildlings. And regardless of how he feels about them, the way Robb's forces beat larger numbers makes his king seem even grander, making the disappointing parts easier to accept.

I know I'm a super late comer to this series, but here goes. I really like that you had Robb be knighted by Ser Davos. I read into it as a detail that, once more widely known, would further endear the king to the common people. Like, if some low born boy wants to make good, there are is a real possibility that given enough patience and work, they might also rise to some great honor like Ser Davos. And they could meet others like Gendry and get a sense of the progression and possibility in their own lives. Great PR move.

I'm glad the battle was straightforward. While I enjoy the paragraphs of technical minutia surrounding war craft, I tend to find them enjoyable within limits. They have their place, and in this chapter, a tome detailing troop actions and which thing caused that other thing that resulted in the victory would have taken away from the political maneuvering that needed to take center stage.
Great work. I can't believe I'm only reading this story now.
On another note, I understand why Arya isn't going to Braavos, but I am still disappointed she won't get even some of her Braavosi adventures in; and she's left her coin in her bed sheets to boot. I'm also itching to get a couple of Sansa scenes to see how she's handling the courts and Joffrey, now that Robb has outlived his original lifespan.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

Bloody hell, READ YOUR WORK THROUGH. In one of the previous chapters there's a string of h's for no reason and in this there's at least one 'irrupted' instead of interrupted. I've also seen 'brogan' instead of brigand. This is literally the absolute minimum of checking yourself.

This is a good story, I look forward to more.

I’m really enjoying the story though I have to say, Robb really needs an attitude check at this point in the story. He needs to learn the art of compromise as well if he wants to live long as a king. All it takes is one really angry person or group of people and that could be the end of him. Especially if they bring in the assassins.
