I like this a lot. One minor issue: Shay uses flintlocks; revolvers weren’t invented yet. (If you have an excuse for him to have a Kalthoff repeater though...)

in some ways Ezio and shay are mirror images of each other

shay is gunna be in for a rude awaking in the face to tru assassins at least 2 of which were leaders of their respective brotherhoods

shay is almost as biased against the assassins as Ezio is against the templars

shay might change his opinion when comes in contact with assassin's that hold fast to the creed unlike the colonialists he is familiar with

i dont think altair and Ezio are gunna take too kindly to shay

I do hope you let Megan view Ezio’s memories as well. For Ezio had just as bad as Shay. For Ezio nearly lost everyone he ever loved to the Templars. His father killed by templar. His brothers including his disabled and sick brother killed by templar. His Uncle killed by templar. I hope she views Conners memories as well. For he lost his mother due to his templar father’s friend. He slept got her pregnant and then abandoned them. Templars in assassins creed are not all righteous and good. Sure some assassins who go against everything they stand for or abuse their code are obviously not good either but for the most part it is the majority of the assassins who stand for freedom and goodness who try their best to help people not cause pain and suffering. Sorry for the long spiel. I just hope you don’t have Megan viewing only one side but both sides good and bad. That would just make her just as ignorant as the Templars and Assassins. Megan and the rest of the group needs to view and listen to both sides good and bad to gain a better judgment.

... how would Shay know the 7 years war would be called that if it were still going on for him? For all he knew it could have been the 8, or 30 years war.

I really liked how this story was progressing beforehand, but its better to hear that you aren't giving up on it! I really enjoyed this fic and reread it from time to time. I'm excited to see what you do with it!

Really like how you included both sides of the story. You should update cause you kinda left it on a cliffhanger
