But I love this chapter-Petrifying him was undoubtedly the best idea to keep him from bleeding to death. What a pity nobody thought of it. (I came up with the idea that giving someone Polyjuice might work-if becoming Moody means you lose a leg, why wouldn't Polyjuice put you into a form that wasn't bleeding to death?).

Your ending is perfect.

Ah, and so now they are entangled together. I don't think Hermione has thought through the fact that Snape is not likely to survive-except, of course, that she's risking her life enough to join him should he die, and not just Because Gryffindor.
