Holy crap, it only took two chapters, with no hints besides the codes given in the first two or three chapterms, and I solved the code. Thank you, freshman science!

i loved that so much :D always very interesting, and always kept me wondering what was going to happen.

just letting you know, chapter 10 had alot of typos. and 22 (or was in 21?) had no line brakes, so it was hand to tell who was talking sometimes.

this whole time, i was expecting that the real reason why Ed took the syrum was actually because Ed was just testing it, that maybe Ed was going to try and alchemize it some how and use it on Al to try to get him human again, so Ed tested it first to see if it was ok. guess i was wrong :P
