Gahhh please update! I know as a fellow (though nowhere near as good) writer that it's incredibly frustrating when readers request that of you, but this story is truly captivating and I'd love to find out more about the characters and what's going to happen! My verdict (I came up with this a number of chapters ago) is that Anna is Maya's daughter (there has been so much foreshadowing, and the hospital records being sent to Texas, precisely where Anna lived/was raised in the early years of her life, was for me the big giveaway!), and that Lucas and perhaps Sophia adopted Anna as a child and so he has always been her father, and of course (having been adopted at birth) Anna has zero recollection of this and has absolutely no clue that she is not Lucas's biological daughter and is, in fact, the result of one of Maya's relationships! Anyway, please carry the story on; I'm a sucker for all things Lucaya and Anna is so endearing, I'd love to see more of this! xxx
