Reviews for How do you do fellow kids?
axel100 chapter 1 . 9/12/2019
A story that rips on Cinder's age will always get a favorite from me. Some have pointed out that Beacon is more of a college than a high school, in which case you will get the occasional thirty-something who is going back to school to get their degree. The problem is that Cinder is trying to not stand out and even if someone her age could still legitimately claim to be a student, you've still been labeled the old timer or the class mom by the rest of the class. And if you're trying hard and failing to blend in, then you're just getting laughed at behind you back. Wait, that's her plan all along! No one that desperate to recapture their youth could ever be taken as a serious threat! Cinder, I'm sorry I doubted you!
Guest chapter 1 . 7/4/2018
Good story, you made a very good point about her age. I don't know what it was but it she probably was in her early thirties or late twenties realistically. Great story. Good Person Test.

littlev123 chapter 1 . 2/20/2016
This was hilarious! I always wondered how the heck she passed herself off as a student too. She doesn't look that old, but it's pretty obvious she's no youngster.
For Spite chapter 1 . 12/6/2015
You know, given that Beacon is more like a college than a high school (first years are expected to enter at 17), Emerald and Mercury could easily pass for upper-classmen at 20 and 21 without even disguising their ages, if they are the ages you assigned them. Ozpin indicated it was a four year institution, so the average graduating age should be 21, with a few people a year off from that, depending on how their birthday lines up with the school year.

Well, nit-picks aside, it was an amusing short. Especially Ruby actually using the term 'wizard'.
The rakiat chapter 1 . 11/1/2015

GlassedGamer chapter 1 . 11/1/2015

frik1000 chapter 1 . 11/1/2015
Well that was a totally wizard first chapter (assuming this isn't a one-shot given the lack of a Complete tag). Very rarely do we get some more humorous out takes on the plans of the villains in this show, especially given how grandiose and ridiculous they seem to be in hind sight. I love the characterization of all three, so far they all have their own distinct persona that adheres with the canon. I can't wait to see just exactly what Emerald and Mercury's plans are to further keep Cinder away form the public eye (sans Ruby).
Guest chapter 1 . 11/1/2015
That last part was genius. Pure. Genius.
NarfoOnTheNet chapter 1 . 11/1/2015
YES! Love this! I know there are headcanons about Cinder's age, but still, pretending to be a teenager when you're middle aged? And I loved that Mercury and Emerald smuggled her in at 2am, and actually kept her from going to classes! Friggin hilarious!
