...wait. Why would her father reject his offer? Did he honestly not know that she was in love with James? Did they not even ask her? (Yes, I do realize that tradition is different then modern times, but if someone your daughter is constantly spending time with for the last year(s) is asking for her hand, and you aren't sure if she would like the continued attention/affection of the wizard in question, you would think he would ask his daughter to make sure there wasn't a missup unless he honestly didn't approve of such a union.)

This is the reason muggleborns needed to be introduced to Magical Society early and taught traditions and customs or at least taught them in school. Also the reason purebloods need to be taught about mundane culture.

I love your writing and this story so much. But I think you used to have a version with the daughter of Isadore and James and Neveille I liked that one even more. There were a couple of inconsistencies between the 1st and 2nd part of this story that made it a tad confusing. As for the version with Hazel(?) and Neveille I liked that they had been friends forever but not in a coutship. That allowed more reasonability for the doubt that either of them did not romantically love the other. That being said I still love this, and your writing, and you.

P.S. did you used to have a story with female Harry and Cedric? I remember reading it but couldn't find it anywhere and I believe that it was your style but I'm not sure, just curious.

Amusing story! And "hoyden".. I guess you never stop learning new (old? heh) words. The use of "trollop" at the end was also funny, because in today's language being accused of such is rather ridiculous (kind of like "scarlet woman") so it doesn't feel like a particularly strong word, but in the society painted in this story it sounds like a stronger word than e.g. "whore" in modern language!

Very interesting. So why did her Dad lie to the Potters like that?

It leaves me with my brain in knots, wondering how the whole Harry Potter saga would have turned out had James married someone other than Lily. (leaving us with no Harry Potter)

I just realized that you re uploaded almost of your stories after taking them down. That was a nice surprise to find. I really enjoyed reading your writing and themes. It was a shame that you and similar authors decided to take your stories down collectively before.

I did like James/Isadore, but for the second part preferred Hazel(Haesel?)/Neville. Probably because that was the original, and that those personalities were already known, instead of working with a new one (isadore).
