"I think I heard of those vehicles, supposedly powerful and sentient, They were lost centuries ago." Ecliptor

"They were, but we found, well by me, I mean that monster Aunty D sent, but he lost them to the rangers," Elgar stated

"Hmm, now I want that vehicle for myself," Astronema stated

"You sure, that thing got an attitude and twitchy blaster." Elgar gulped, he had a hard time trying to grabbed that thing the first time

"If it knows what good for it, it will obey, or be destroyed. I will not tolerate intolerance." Astronema stated, "Ecliptor summoned Lionizer, were going on a hunt."

This is very good. You have added descriptive scenes where they were lacking in the show. You have created a background for Andros that shows what he went through. Zhane and Astronema are already intimate which may be an issue down the road. I hope Cassie forgets that stupid phantom ranger and sees the guy who has been there all the time. But TJ needs to speak up. I will keep reading.

I've read your story about three times since finding it two days ago and like your adaption to andros' character.
I can't wait to see what you've got up your sleeve for the next chapter.

As sad as the events are, I'm really looking forward to reading 'Fallen Stars'; poor Andros looses absolutely everything...I mean it's implied in the tv show, but you really drive it home here. It's a good thing Andros has Ashley (and the rest of the team, but she really provides most of the overt emotional support.) I don't know when you plan to publish the prequel but I'm excited for it.

I wonder if the ghosts of Andros's original team will emerge from the morphing grid a la Kendrix at some point (though no complete revivals), maybe to help Karone fight the brainwashing from the inside?

You know - I wondered why Andros was the only space ranger in his series when he arrived (aside from obviously leaving room for TJ and the others to gain new powers) and my first headcanon was that his fellow rangers (aside from Zhane) had died. It's a sad one, but it makes the most sense.

Though this does leave a slight problem, re: Karone's true identity. I think you might want to show off her softer side (re: shooting her own drone to protect that family for instance) to juxtapose with her more evil side in this story, or else it kinda seems like Karone has been completely consumed by the Astronema side even before Dark Specter re-brainwashes her.

One of the first things I thought about after watching In Space for the first time was how different Andros was compared to Jason/Tommy/TJ - and not in a bad way! He was much more canny, didn't wear his emotions so openly...it was one of the things that made the show appeal to me. And all that is even deeper here with the extra backstory.

Will you give Dark Specter a little more to do? I mean, the Rangers don't even get to confront him in the canon series which was one of the few things I felt let down by. For such a menacing presence his death is...kind of an afterthought.
