Also a huge fan of Athena. In the games she's portrayed as a very vivacious and exuberant young woman but I wonder how much of that is just a carefully created facade.

I adore this story. My only fault with it is that Athena could have thought about Blackquill a bit more, in contemplation. Because you're totally right; Blackquill is her symbol of strength. But you get in her head and develop her motivations so well, and I finally feel like someone's nailed Athena for who she truly is. This is fantastic. Really.
